Hotel Tigra — Hotel in Priekuļu pagasts

I chose this place because it was affordable, and while I appreciated the price, I think the building could benefit from some improvements. There was a noticeable smell of cigarette smoke and plumbing throughout the property, which made it a bit uncomfortable. During the winter, we even had to sleep with the window open due to the strong odor. Additionally, the tap water had a yellowish tint — something I didn’t expect, especially in a European country. It became quite evident while brushing my teeth.

On the positive side, the breakfast was great. The selection was good, and the sausages were especially tasty. With some updates and maintenance, this place could become a much more pleasant stay for...

Some strange feeling like being nowhere... GPS is not locating hotel in a right way, you have to ask locals.However if you take a right road there is direction to the place. Calm place. Excellent internet connection. Nice staff welcoming you and perfect breakfast selection - good for row food lovers, vegetarians and meat lovers. ||Be aware - some rooms have problems with sanitation - in ours toilet did not flush .... when asked to change room - refused. Senior lady was saying sorry - everything works perfectly during week days (meaning when they do not have clients :))))We had to fix it ourself. And we did it - no bonus, neither thank you, neither discount ... If you have choice - choose...

This is a weird hotel in an even stranger place. It is based in a tiny village called Priekuli which is a kind of back-office for Cesis. There is NOTHING to see in Priekuli, so get a hotel in Cesis.||||The room was very, very basic - no more than 2 stars. Breakfast was inedible (they appear to serve left-overs from the night before). I took a looky-see at the dinner menu but quickly left. The dining room smells mouldy, in any case. The hotel claims to have a pool but it does not. The 'pool' is actually an over-sized bath that serves the sauna. The web-site is very misleading about this.||||Pluses? The receptionist was nice. Wifi was pretty fast.||Minuses?
