Elephant Hostel — Hotel in Riga

At a first glance this place seems rather nice. Well decorated, and fairly modern. But thats really all you get. The wait staff in the restaurant kept complaining that they couldn't handle our group. They said "we aren't really a restaurant". If you are not a restaurant then do not advertise yourself as one! Also, because the did not want us in the "restaurant" we tried to order room service. They did not answer the phone for twenty minutes so we went down to the front desk and tried to order through them. They said they shut down room service for the night because they didn't have enough staff to fulfill orders and deliver food. The night before this we ordered room service and the total was $16.40. We gave them a twenty euro note and they said they would bring back change. Never saw any...

I came a few times here during the last 18 months.|The hotel is outside of the city. But it is close to the office of my customer so for me this is more an advantage than a disadvantage. This makes that you stay in a quite environment.|Taxis are affordable, in case you want to visit the historic centre of Riga.|The food is delicious, the waiters in the restaurant are polite and helpful.|Breakfast is served as a buffet, there is a lot of variation and you can take what you like.|The staff of the reception is very helpful too.|I have no idea why I should look after another hotel when I'm in the...

THE WORSR EXPERIENCE EVER! We book one night for 9 people. Send a comfirming message few days before comming - no answer. Came to the place - nobody opened the door, they were locked, nobody picked up the phone, so we went to the show we had tickets at. Came back but nothing has chaned! Somebody was inside because we saw the light but nobody opened the door event though we've been knocking loudly and shouting!!! We had to stay somewhere else. Never ever...
