Imperia — Hotel in Riga

The worst "hotel" I have ever been to. Problems started just minutes after we arrived. The owner was completely surprised that we showed up (we confirmed our arrival on the same day so she wouldn't be surprised), the rooms were not prepared for us so we had to wait for about an hour while she was cleaning them up. We made a reservation for three rooms with private bathrooms but we got just two private bathrooms. Generally, rooms in the hotel are one big mess. Humidity, dirt everywhere, smell like from a barn. The lady took our money minutes after we arrived and then almost dissapeared. She was hardly reacheable and what's more pretened that the problems with reservation are a result of issues on booking.com webiste. Moreover, we couldn't even take a shower in the morning because there was no warm water. It was cold as the ice. Imagine when you had a little baby there. Of course her explanations where as idiotic as her entire ,,business". She tried to make us believe that it is our fault, that we had used to much water. To make it even more pathetic, we didn't get our breakfast on one day because she had more interesting things to do than looking after guests. A very kind and friendly owner. Great surroundings, a lot of nature, private houses with small back- door gardens. Bus stop almost right at the door. Mostly very clean, except the kitchen, which is common-use. Nice and cheap breakfast. Just 2 euros. Nothing fancy, but good food. Except not being so clean, the kitchen is otherwise great. Lots of cutlery, plates of all shapes and sizes, induction oven, gas oven, 2 washing machines, kettles, panns and all you could need. Seems to be also a great deal of food and spices you can use that are left behind from other guests. Room - in very pleasant light colors, beautiful curtains and nice painting on the wall. The only real minus i noticed is the poor sound isolation. If other guests are loud it can be quite disturbing. Consider taking ear-blockers with you or just put on some...

Не обольщайтесь (не такой уж) невысокой ценой. В описании вы видите милые фото. А приехав, обнаружите нечто среди депрессивного частного сектора, без вывески, и у дороги, по которой непрерывно с грохотом (дорога порядком разбитая) идут большегрузы в грузовой порт. Дальше вас попросят заплатить наличными, cославшись на отсутствие терминала. Потом вы с удивлением обнаружите, что в комнате нет даже элементарного: ни стакана, ни обещанного чайника, ни прикроватной лампы, про телевизор - молчу. Также на пятерых (2 номера) на два дня найдете четыре дешевых немылящихся пакетика геля д/душа и один на два номера рулон туалетной бумаги. Бонусом получите неприятный запах (дёгтя в коридоре, канализации в комнате), провалившиеся полы и ужасную сломанную кровать, на которой просто невозможно спать. Ах да. Ключи от двух номеров оказались одинаковыми и взаимозаменяемыми. Соответственно все ценное вам придётся...
