Kanaan Group Hotel — Hotel in Baalbek

The welcoming was cold and heard the guy calling the manager as we reserved via booking.com||The first room assigned was with a bad mattress, i asked for change, he argued but i insisted that we cannot sleep on it, the other room was not clean, the bed same thing, again asked for changing bed, then i sprayed all with detol, the room lady thru the cover on floor and wanted us to use it afterward... ||Let’s not discuss the breakfast, no water, no coffee, nothing to eat decently... even labneh the minimum in a lebanese breakfast was not tasty... no bread!!! U only get pain de mie, no lebanese bread, no mar2ou2, at least present small mana2ish!!! Or baalbeck best sfiha...|So i ordered the extra charge coffee, still it took them more than 15 min for the espresso 😭||Of course not an option for another stay with my husband,|Budget hotels in any country...

We were supposed to stay for two nights but decided to leave after one. We booked four rooms, all of which had terrible smells in the bathrooms. Linen and especially pillow inners, were stained and dirty.||Furniture old, unstable and stained.||Worst of all, we asked for a taxi to leave and they put us in a local bus which wouldn’t have been so bad had they not have told us it would cost $50 back to Beirut, only to then be told $100 and that we were going to be delivered to a taxi. Once we got to the taxi, he took $200,000 LBP and gave us no change. He underpaid the taxi driver and pretended not to understand what we were talking about when we asked about the change. The hotel should never have booked this if there was even a chance of that happening. ||Not impressed at all. Would not...

We had a bad experience staying in this hotel. We booked it 3 months ago and asked for a room with a balcony, the next thing we know they provided us with 2 rooms that have a "balcony" underground that is linked directly to the service area and the parking of the hotel. We were really looking forward to enjoy our stay at baalback. We told the staff about this issue, and they were helpless about making up to their mistake. Every room was missing something and they did not provide us any other service when we ask ( such as providing extra towel, or extra shampoo...) Such hotels should charge a maximum of 35 dol. The mattresses weren't confortable too. Two things that were positive the cleanliness of the rooms and the location...
