Picture this, deciding to leave L'Aiglon hotel in Becharri at 11:00 PM and drive for 3 hours back home just because you don't want to spend the night there anymore..
We took 2 days off and planned to spend them in Becharri as there's a lot of attractions to visit there.
So we reserved our room at l'Aiglon via booking where we read that our check in is at 2:00 PM. We arrived around that time and the owner had no idea that we had a booking.
Once we showed him the email, he made us tour the rooms of the hotel that were not ready and under cleaning process after telling us that the room that we booked for 80$ is an old one this is why it is "cheap" stating that if we want a better room, we were supposed to pay more.
We informed the owner that our purpose was only to do some hikes in Becharri and enjoy the view outside at night before sleeping.
He offered us discounted upgrade on a suite with Jacuzzi as the hotel was totally empty. We accepted the room as at least it had a window with a nice view.
At night, the temperature went down so we decided to use the jacuzzi with some hot water. The jacuzzi had some missing/broken pieces and wasn't well maintained so we decided to fill it with hot water and use it (without turning it on) specially that we paid for it.
At the beginning, there was some hot water which turned cold before that the jacuzzi was filled. To our astonishment, it seemed like there was no hot water anymore.
We called the reception at 9:30 PM when a lady answered telling us that she doesn't work there and the hotel team are asleep 🤣 When we asked about the hot water issue, she said that it can be checked in the morning!
We took a COLD shower and went down to the reception.
Surpise, surprise! The owner's wife awake watching some series.. after telling her about the issue, she said "sorry, my husband forgot to tell you that the hot water is limited and you must have used it all" knowing that we were the only guests in the whole hotel and we turned on the hot water only to fill the jacuzzi.
Seeing the level of unprofessionalism and carelessness, we packed our bags and left the hotel, she simply closed the door behind us as we're leaving by car and went back to continue enjoying the series.
P.S.: till now, no one bothered to call and ask about...

Cons - turned off the heating at like 5am (very beginning of the snow season - was way too cold and inhumane), lots of attempts to scam us out of money and passive aggressive behaviour towards us when we didn't allow them to scam us.
Extra details - We arrived, they took us up to their best room and said its ours. We asked how much the price is for it and they said its the same price. They told us to pay tomorrow. Next day, we have a beautiful breakfast. Then they tell us the price is 180/night (we booked rooms at 85/night). They acted confused and tried to make it seem like we had no choice as we've used the room. We showed them our booking and proved that's not the price we booked for. They asked us if we used the jacuzzi in the room and we said no. They threatened to move us to a different room and we said we are more than happy to do that as we didn't book an expensive room and it wasn't our fault. They tried a bit more and eventually gave up on pushing when they realised we couldn't be scammed. After, they turned off the heating for the room, and briefly kept it on at night but turned it off again at like 5am. Keep in mind this is the start of the snow season and it was freezing and quite inhumane. We also asked if there were laundry facilities available and they tried to tell us to go somewhere else to pay a really high price to do them so we said nevermind. Then they said they will do it for us?? When we were leaving and had put our suitcases in our bags they told us we owed them $20 for the laundry. ( we had already paid and extra $20 for the laundry.) When we said no they tried to scam us a bit more and eventually gave up.
It seems like they tried to manipulate us from the start by wow-ing us with a big fancy room and trying to play on our emotions and 'ignorance' to get way more money out of us than necessary.
Please be mindful. I would never go there again. There are plenty of other places around, with lovely views, that treat you humanely and don't try...
