I regret to say that our experience with this hotel wedding venue was extremely disappointing. Despite several meetings, visits, and numerous conversations with the manager, we were left feeling unimportant and undervalued. The manager's complete lack of professionalism was glaringly evident when they went back on their word and gave away our preferred wedding date to another couple. Their excuse that the manager made a mistake with our names only adds to the level of unprofessionalism displayed. It's hard to believe that a venue entrusted with such important life events could make such fundamental and unacceptable errors. To make matters worse, the hotel used the excuse that we hadn't paid a deposit as a basis for their actions. However, it's important to note that we were never provided with an official pricing structure or a contract to sign. This lack of transparency and accountability is a further testament to their unprofessionalism. It raises suspicions of whether this might be a manipulative strategy to secure deposits, only to later impose inflated pricing and terms once other venues are fully booked. What's most disheartening is the complete absence of any accountability on their part. It's been three weeks since this unfortunate incident, and no one from the venue has reached out to accept responsibility or make amends for the harm they've caused. In conclusion, I would strongly advise against considering this hotel wedding venue for your special day. Their unprofessionalism, inconsistency, and lack of accountability have left us with a negative impression that we simply cannot overlook. It's essential to choose a venue that respects its clients and upholds the principles of honesty and integrity, and unfortunately, this hotel falls short of...
Read moreWe booked a stay at Masabki Hotel on June 1, 2025, and were assigned Room 114. That evening, around midnight, we wanted to take a shower but discovered there was no hot water. We called the reception, and the receptionist initially told us they would look into it and get back to us shortly.
Later, they informed us that the water heater was not working and asked us to wait 25 minutes while they tried to fix it. After nearly 50 minutes, we checked again—still no hot water. When we called a second time, we were told that this situation was “normal” and that we could just shower the next day, as if we were at home and such things should be expected.
The response was completely unprofessional. The receptionist told us to wait “two minutes” for a follow-up, but no one contacted us for another 20 minutes. We had to call back again at 1:33 AM. At that point, we were frustrated and deeply disappointed. We were then told that hot water would be available within 15 minutes—by then, it was almost 2:00 AM.
In the morning, during checkout, we addressed the situation with the manager, Elie. Instead of apologizing for the inconvenience, he defended what had happened, again insisting that this kind of issue could occur in any home. That response only made the experience worse, as we had paid for services that we didn’t receive and expected a more professional approach.
We chose not to continue the discussion with him, as his attitude was both unprofessional and illogical in trying to justify their failure.
I'm sharing this to caution others about booking at this hotel. Based on our experience, both the service and management lacked the professionalism and accountability expected from a hospitality...
Read moreA prestigious hotel located in the heart of Chtoura. The entrance to the hotel looks like an old Victorian estate. The lobby is spacious, and contains historical statues. The reception and receptionist were both friendly, and attentive. The rooms are cozy, and has nearly everything you need. We took the standard room, which contains a big bed(you can request two beds), a large closet, a safe inside the closet, extra pillows, extra blankets, slippers, a TV with cable, complimentary fruits and caffeine, a mini fridge, and a small balcony, in addition to free unlimited Wi-Fi. The bathroom has a toilet, a bidet, and a big bathtub. They also give you a toothbrush with toothpaste, a sewing kit, a vanity set, a hair dryer, a hair comb, shampoo, shower gel, conditioner, and bath-robes (you can't take them home, but you can buy one). The hotel has no pool, but it has one of the best gardens I've ever seen. Massabki is the only hotel in Lebanon with it's own private river. The river has a sawn, and two ducks. There's also a night club inside the hotel. 24/7 parking services. They also have a beautiful wedding venue. Finally, there is free breakfast every morning, and they serve coroissants, eggs and sausages, turkey slices, cheese slices, vegetables, jam, caffeine (tea, nes café, cuppacino, coffee) and fresh juice. I've stayed there for two nights, and I highly, highly recommend this place. Myriam Klink and Angelina Jolie once...
