When we checked into the guest house we were shown rooms that were all over the accomodation. The rooms were not ready and we settled for one room for our parents. ||The owner at that time was friendly. When we came back late at night we were shown to our rooms and they didn’t have ac ( we had paid for ac rooms as this was in the middle of summer) - we called the owner and he came and set us up in one room instead of 2 - one of our kids on a mattress that was almost like a picnic mat. || The owner said his daughter was sleeping in the room booked for us so we can have it tomorrow and if we didn’t like it we could leave right at that point in the night. Very arrogant for a yoga teacher. ||||Mr Yoga teacher also wanted to discuss the charges at that time in the night ! He even argued that it’s him who decided how much we have to pay and not the company we had booked through. We ended up having to pay for sleeping on the mattress. The owner had no remorse for his actions the next morning. Not going to...

The hotel is a converted residence dating from the Ottoman period, and it has been carefully maintained by the owner, Nabil. The hotel is located in the part of the city close to the ocean, but the rest of the city, including the wonderful fortress and amazing souks, are easily reached by taxi. Nabil is possibly the nicest person in the city -- he was willing to answer my almost interminable questions, with patience and humor, and provided incredibly helpful directions regarding the souks and numerous madrassas and mosques that are located in the same area; he's very knowledgeable. The breakfast in the hotel is wonderful, and Nabil was focused on making sure that those eating breakfast had what they wanted. Overall, the hotel is wonderful, and Nabil is an ideal owner for travelers...

The setting is nice, an old house renovated with some vintage items still in place. Nabil was very responsive online and Mohammad on the ground of great help. Our room was spacious with a very nice traditional bathroom. Air conditioning is available but the windows facing each other can help on a smooth temperature day to enjoy the sea smell. Location is great if you want to go our for a drink at night or to the beach. A bit further from the citadel and souks. Would help if an effort is done on having a parking place and better signage to find the place but that is secondary.|Breakfast is limited in choice but tasty. |Will be...

A little oasis made of old stones in that busy Tripoli concrete jungle. Nessim the happy owner, has renovated that house dating back to 1878 with lots of love. There are an amazing number of details (still present in the house), which testifies of the intelligence of the earlier generations when it comes to building, storing water, etc. We loved our short stay there, an excellent home made breakfast, good beds, overall quiet place, yet 5 minutes walk from the busy harbour. Highly recommend 😍👌🤗💜🙏

Beit El Nessim is a gem! The whole space is thoughtfully designed, full of charm, and instantly feels like home. The guesthouse has many shared spaces but my personal favorite is the rooftop yoga deck —relaxing and grounding. I’ve enjoyed so many yoga classes here, each one a grounding and serene experience. We’ve also hosted private family events and intimate dinners in this beautiful setting—it’s the perfect place to gather, unwind, and connect. Can’t recommend it enough! 💛

A truly special stay in magical El Mina in Tripoli. The host, Nabil, a wonderful renaissance man, and the house is a beautifully and thoughtfully renovated building with rich history and charming character. Sleep under the stars on the roof, go for a dip in the sea at dawn, and pick up some piping hot fresh bread on the corner on the way back.
