It used to be one of my favorites until we visited le valais today and received by the very impolite Paul.|We came in and he made us wait for 5 minutes while trying to inform we have a booking. |Then we told him we have a booking he told us its inside. We informed that we booked outside. He told me come you have this table or this and moved. An extreme impolite gesture.|I told him there are many empty tables outside, he said it is reserved while it wasnt. Because we left after eating snd they were still unoccupied. |I would have definitely left if my kids were not hungry.|We sat inside, the table was very dirty with bits of food remnants. |Then other than the empty tables, 2 tables left. We didnt start eating yet and my husband asked him to move us and he also didnt. |What a pity to have such a person in a nice place. I will definitely not visit again and will market the same with my friends and...
Read moreI can't say anything about the lodging as we came here for lunch....We came here with a big bunch of friends for a traditional Lebanese lunch after some sightseeing in Jeita Grotto, Faraya mountains etc. The place itself is on a mountain surrounded by other big mountains. The scenery is astonishing!! We were around 15 people and we ordered food for like 30 people. But that is how it is with a Lebanese host. You are guaranteed to not walk away hungry. We ordered everything from hommos, to tabouleh, to fattoush, to kibbeh nayyeh, to mashawis etc.... The food was amazing and so was the arak as well. We could literally roll down the mountain. The staff was very friendly and cool. Usually Lebanese places are very laid back and chill and the hospitality in the entire country is top notch. This was the first time at this place, but definitely not...
Read moreSo far the worst restaurant I have ever eaten at in Lebanon. Rude waiters and management. Their “famous” fondu came down as a pot of cheese with nothing to eat it with. The burners did not work properly so all the cheese burnt before we had a chance to eat it. We were 12 people ordering fondu and they would bring one bread basket with 10 pieces and then we would have to beg for 15 minutes for some more. It’s a shame that I am writing this but it was bad and I’m trying to save the next people. Management did not want to acknowledge our complaints by stating “but the food did come down on the table didn’t it”. Extremely rude and disrespectful. A 1 star rating...
