Janna Resorts V.i.p Lounge||||I am sharing the worst experience I encountered throughout my entire life||Date: 25-05-2022.||||We get into trouble because of drunk people. They attacked us for no reason (that group of people was friends/family of the resort manager, at least that’s what we learned later).. The security of the resort was covering for them! We begged the security to call the police..(my bro was bleeding from his nose. My cousin was bleeding from his eye. My niece of 8 years old was between their feet and scratches were all over her body.. my other female cousin was trying to cover for her brothers, the bastards were trying to take off her dress, one of them broke a glass of beer and tried to attack us with it ).||I was shaking and shouting repeatedly to call the police. Even when they parted us away, we asked them repeatedly to call the police..no one moved a needle. We asked them why you are not calling!! it's your job to call the police, they looked at us with a poker face! we asked them not to let the other group run away cz we are calling the police..we asked them if there is a back door, and they insisted that they won’t let anyone run away and that we will take our rights from them in a way or another.||||The other group disappeared don’t know how and where! They hid them claiming that they don’t know them and the worst part is that they informed us that they might find their way out through the beach..which is an obvious lie!||||Later on, we learned from one of the workers that that group was one of the manager's friends and that they won’t be moving a needle because of that. However, the worker was super worried that his manager might figure out that he provided this info and might be kicked out of his work because of that.||||The manager said that he doesn't know them.. we asked for camera records, and they claimed they don’t have records.||||All that I can say is that it was the worst experience I ever get in my whole life. As a hospitality consultant and a graduate from the best university in Switzerland, I must say that my experience at Janna Sur Mer beach resort in Damour, was nothing short of a nightmare. This place blatantly treats its customers as mere walking dollars, showing no respect or hospitality whatsoever. The experience turned into a truly scarring ordeal, especially given that I was accompanied by my fiancé, sister, and mother. Instead of being a joyful time spent with loved ones, it became a distressing memory.

From the moment we arrived, it was evident that they cared more about squeezing money out of us than providing a pleasant experience. The overcharging on entrance fees and the inflated prices on the food and drinks menu were outrageous.

The resort's staff, particularly the security guards, exhibited aggressive behavior, making us feel unsafe and unwelcome. They were pushy and confrontational, which is completely unacceptable in any hospitality setting. All of this happened because we were asked to pay the food bill before we even ate any of it, claiming that their cashiers leave now and we have to settle the bill then and there. Unfortunately we paid 140$ bill for the food and got pushed away without eating what we paid for. NONE OF IT. It's incredibly disheartening to see such aggression and lack of professionalism.

Seeking assistance, we attempted to report the issues to the management or owners via phone call, but they showed zero interest in listening to our concerns. In fact, they hung up while we were trying to explain the problems we encountered during our visit.

For a place that claims to offer a relaxing and enjoyable experience, Janna Sur Mer beach resort fell far short of expectations. Their blatant disregard for customer satisfaction, disrespectful treatment, and unprofessional behavior make it a place to avoid at all costs. As a hospitality professional, I am appalled by their lack of ethics and basic customer service standards.

This place is pretty bad. My brother cut his toe in the pool due to broken tiles accumulated at the bottom. The service overall was horrible. The restaurant staff were all very rude and were not attentive at all. There was a hair in our breakfast food. The bathroom in our room was dirty, so was our room. The runner on the bed was black and you could see specs of stuff in it and the carpet looked like it hadn’t been washed ever. The outdoor patio had white leather cushions for couches, and they were stained with dirt and what looked like juice. They clearly hadn’t been washed before our visit. For the price we paid ($250usd/night), I’d expect a higher standard of cleanliness and service. Instead, I was very unimpressed with the service and the cleanliness was below subpar. We were also promised a bar in the pool, and it seems it hadn’t opened yet for the season. We also were not told that there would be a party with music blasting well into 1am, that started around 11. We couldn’t sleep from the noise - wouldn’t be a problem if we were told what to expect. Vert poor service when we were checked in to our room - we weren’t given the wifi password or a run down of what was on the resort. In addition, the only reason we booked this place was for the sandy beach shown in the pics. SUPER MISLEADING. The sandy beach shown was only for the lounge chairs, but the land touching the ocean is right under that strip and is all rocks. There’s a small strip of sandy beach a little walk away on what looks like the land of another resort. This sandy beach was maybe 20 meters wide and the shore was full of garbage. Bad experience overall. We left almost as soon as we got up. Not worth the...
