Your home away from home. We had a lovely stay at La Maison Dea Sources. If you’re looking to zone out and completely relax, I highly recommend staying here. It is a boutique hotel with 11-rooms and is nestled in Ain Zahlta. All of the people we met who were staying at the hotel were so friendly. The breakfast which is included with your stay is a delicious Lebanese variety. You can pay extra for the dinner, which I do recommend doing (because it is delicious, but also because there are not many restaurants that are close by). During the day we visited the cedars and went for a hike, then at night we hung out in their living room style area and had drinks next to the fire before dinner. Youmna, Mehrit, and the rest of the team are very hospitable and do everything to make your stay a positive one. The reason for the 4-star rating is for a couple of reasons (which I believe this feedback will help the hotel improve):
• There is no TV in the rooms themselves (which for us was fine, but that is something you’d expect to have) • There is no wifi in the rooms, which is something that you would want and need • There was no blow dryer in the rooms nor are there any other amenities aside from a dual shampoo and shower gel bottle • Aside from having a set breakfast, lunch and dinner, you can not order any food separately (but they do have fruits and some baked goods you can grab from the dining area)
Again, just feedback I wanted to share with the hotel — but otherwise, we really enjoyed ourselves and are happy we...
Read moreFresh air, natural beauty, and complete serenity is found at this beautiful 200 year old guest house. It is an old mansion that was artistically renovated into 11 different guest rooms with private bathrooms. Each room/ suite is unique and has a beautiful Mediterranean flair. You will see exquisite artwork all around the property with an option to purchase them too. Beds are comfortable, showers have a spa feeling. Downstairs there is a spacious yet cozy lounge room with bar where you can relax, or mingle with other international guests. The super quaint breakfast room has long wooden rustic tables, an old fashioned juice press, and traditional, healthy, organic Lebanese breakfast items. It truly feels like a home away from home! There is a nice terrace overlooking the Shouf's famous cedar trees (great scenery for a profile picture update :). We spent three days there in October. Throughout the weekend, we discovered the natural reserve, went biking and hiking, and took the kids horseback riding. We will definitely go back in the wintertime to experience...
Read moreThe house and surroundings are gorgeous. The details and decoration accessories used are very pretty. This makes the space very nice.
The staff was very friendly, hospital and accommodated all our requests.
The common area is spacious and has a few activities like baby foot and board games.
The rooms are very nice and feel authentic while still having the modern aspects you'd expect.
Breakfast was good. Nothing overly fancy or special but it does the trick. The coffee situation was personally disappointing: only espresso or cappuccino.
The outside area and terrace is very nice, with a view.
Our stay was very pleasant and I would come back, maybe for a more chill weekend than an activity packed one so we can stay in the...
