The ratings and reputation of this place years ago no longer represent the reality of this hotel. You may think you're going to have the best vacation ever, but you're shocked at the construction work that the staff didn't inform you about while you were booking the rooms. The construction of a wedding venue went on and on until early morning hours because they were late in the preparations – Our visit was a recipe for migraine. I have never seen such novice, unqualified hospitality staff in all over Lebanon. They just seemed so careless that it was only during the check-out time that the manager, Mr. Gerges, came and spoke to us only after we had asked him to do so. When we confronted him, he began to raise his voice until he was asked to lower it. They just don't know how to apologize for all the errors and they don't make any effort to coordinate between departments: • When we asked our breakfast to be served on the terrace, the waiter refused to do so stating that his service was only within the building (though the terrace is 10 meters away from the indoor space). The waiter was not informed about the history of a series of unpleasant experience we were having. • The Lady at the reception lied to us saying that she called our room to inform us of the late check-out as consolation for the mistakes they made, but said that we were having breakfast and that there was no one in the room. When we asked her why she didn't come to our table to give us a message knowing that we were not in the room and the fact that she was seeing us having breakfast, she didn't have an answer. • The manager lied to us about wanting to make up for a dinner invitation at another restaurant in the area that had already been closed before we even left the hotel. When he was asked about it, he tried to make excuses not knowing the restaurant was closed. The beautiful setting and the exquisite building of the palace and the grounds do not deserve such a poor management. It's a shame that people think they can hush you up with a suggestion of late check-out just after you're completely dressed at the reception and ready to leave or feel that the wasted time you've had in their venue during your last three days of stay in Lebanon can be compensated for by some other kind of gesture like additional time for pool access or providing food which was not even suggested by the management. I have honestly never been anywhere and met such rude two faced staff. I am not sure why the owner(s) have left the venue for such unprofessional team to manage. Departments do not communicate with each other and staff do not communicate with guests.

DO NOT VISIT THIS PLACE! Their service has drastically...

I really wanted to love this place after all the amazing things I heard about it. I was really looking forward to my stay, but the experience overall was dull and underwhelming.

This hotel is made up of three main areas only: the rooms, the outside seating area / restaurant (which is rather small and limited), and the pool. And that’s pretty much it. No spa. No gardens or various outdoor areas where you can enjoy the night sky or the horizon. No activities. Nothing. However, there are lots of empty spaces that could be much better utilized, but they’re not. They’re just empty.

Compared to the price point, you do not get what you pay for. The place is expensive for two reasons only: for the sake of just being expensive, and because the palace is a historical/heritage site.

It is worth mentioning that the historical features or architecture is nice, but then you quickly get over them.

The main / head receptionist has taken a vow not to smile. In many instances, he made me feel like an intruder on the site. I do not remember his name; it is NOT Alaa and NOT Nabil, both of whom were just so respectful, professional, and friendly. Other members of staff were more cheerful and welcoming.

The waiters at the restaurant are warm and helpful. Special thanks to Firas and Moneeb, both of whom were extra courteous and helpful.

The food… meh. Nothing special. The prices are all in dollars though. I ordered the Italian sausage, and it was both greasy and salty, which is something I do not expect in a place like this. The Lebanese dishes were perhaps better prepared. The portions are big and suitable for more than one person.

The pool area is nice and slightly wide. However, service does not seem to find its way there. I sat there for nearly an hour and a half before a member of the staff showed up. I asked for a menu and an ashtray. After receiving them, the waiter said he would be back to take my order, but he never showed up.

I had booked an executive room, which happened to overlook the roof, and maintenance personnel often have to fix stuff there, so I was compelled on numerous occasions to keep my curtains closed for privacy concerns. To be honest, I did not feel comfortable in that room because of this.

Overall, I did not feel at home here. Aside from the historical status of the place (which is something I got over in the first hour of my stay), it is very difficult to justify the four stars and the price point.

In short, the place is unjustifiably overpriced, boring, and underwhelming.

I recommend you stay at other much more engaging and...

I am writing to express my disappointment and dissatisfaction with the experience I recently had at your restaurant. As a loyal patron, I have always enjoyed the ambiance and cuisine of your establishment, but my recent visit left much to be desired.||Firstly, let me address the issue of seating. Upon arrival, my party and I were seated in an area that was notably uncomfortable and poorly maintained. Sun was all over the place , we were seated next to the Charcoal Igniting area , No view of the valley or mountains , but the only view we had was the kitchen door and bathroom windows ||Furthermore, the quality of the food served was far below the standard I have come to expect from your restaurant. The dishes were presented in a haphazard manner , been sitting in the sun for a period of time . It was evident that little care or consideration had been given to the preparation and presentation of the meals.||Equally disappointing was the level of service we received. Our server was alone to cover all our staff, leaving us waiting for extended periods before taking our orders and failing to check in on us throughout the meal. A simple example was asking for a an extra dish of hummus , and the comment received was ( this is all we can serve) Additionally, I was dismayed to overhear members of your staff making derogatory remarks about us complaining about the heat and seating area , replying in a meaning of " this is what you get ,deal with it" ||This type of behavior is unacceptable and reflects poorly on your establishment. As a paying customer, I expect to be treated with respect and courtesy at all times. Unfortunately, my recent experience fell far short of these expectations.||In light of these issues, I urge you to take immediate action to address the issues raised and to implement measures to ensure that such incidents do not recur in the future. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to hearing from you soon regarding the steps you plan to take to address...

It's indeed a five star hotel. Wonderful site and breathtaking landscapes. The service is outstanding and the pool adds magic to the luxurious palace. Set in a converted 19th-century royal residence, this old-world hotel on a leafy mountainside is 4 km from both Moussa Castle and the Marie Baz Museum. Mir Amin Palace’s spacious rooms and suites are decorated with antique beds and bright colours. Some include a seating area and views of the Shouf Mountains. All come with a satellite TV, and slippers and bathrobes are in the private bathroom. In the summer, Italian-inspired cuisine is served at the restaurant, while traditional Lebanese dishes are available in the winter. Guests can enjoy live music and light snacks on the terrace or drinks from the Piano bar. Your stay will be unique and unforgettable! Instagram @profnasr

I have visited the restaurant within the hotel and didn't stay for a night, so I can't review about anything other than the food, view, and atmosphere... Well to begin with, this place has an extremely fascinating architecture and a great view... it is located on a high hill overlooking the Chouf's beautiful greenery!!! Moving on to the food, service, and atmosphere; well I got nothing to say but perfect!!! The food was super delicious, the service was top and the staff were friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere and vibe was extremely chill and friendly... I truly enjoyed my time there... Highly recommended!!! 👌
