We are a family with one 5yr kid visited Tyre for the first time. And after lots of research Turquoise Resort was our choice. And we were very happy with this choice.
We got the sea view Bungalow and the room felt spacious and very clean with a working A/C (that cools the room) and working fridge (that keeps drinks cold) with hot water to shower enough for 3 people. Also the sofa can be a sofa bed which is a bonus.
The Swimming pool is beautiful and large, sunbathing chairs are good quality and food and beverage services offered with snacks and fresh juices and ice cream (no alcohol available) and another small water park that our son loved to spend all day there.
The beach is the only reason i removed one star from the location review, as the beach is very rocky and not good for swimming. But we dont have the beach as priority and we spent it at the pool instead.
The resort gave us free pass to Xplode Adventure land (5min drive) for us to spend the day at the evening which was a zoo and adventure play ground for the kids that was abonus and great touch.
The reservation included breakfast and it opens at 8am in the morning with a set menu served to your table (no buffet) which has omelette, zatar manakish, french toast, labneh, cheese, jam, selection of pastry and breads. And we enjoyed the breakfast so much. Just wish it would have opened at 6am instead of 8am.
For dinner we had the best fresh sea food at a near by restaurant (also 5min drive) that was amazing.
Overall, we definitely want to revist Turquoise Resort and maybe spend more time to...
Read moreThis is going to be one of the few places where I got lost in the evaluation where I tried to be really fair and split management points from resort itself. After I weighed everything it was easy , its an amazing place with management shortfalls.
The good part: -Amazing place and setup -Nicely located in a quite neighbourhood in the banana fields. -Lovely swimming pools (one general, one adult only) -Lovely sandy beach and green setup -Lovely bungalows -the snack food is good (burgers, french fries, etc) -Average for 2 adults 2 kids 45k / meal Breakfast is good (Lebanese / intercontinental breakfast) -the water park is small but amazing for kids they enjoyed it MAXXXX
The average part -Receptionist every time we phoned was not really well trained (A Receptionist is a key to customers) -They dont take credit card (very inconvenient) You have to go to BOB finance and pay there. -We were promised late check out but once owe got there they retracted.
Overall experience is good but since it took us 3 hours to arrived, since we are far, and we needed to enjoy the full day Sunday which without late checkout is not convenient . But over...
Read moreWe stayed there July 17-19 and if your willing to pay $500 US then this place does not deserve it . Check in was at 5pm but they would not give us any towels for the pool until we entered the room even after begging . We bought a towel and the towel gave my husband a rash all over his body because how can u wash it before use??? The bungalow had mold all over the bathroom ceiling and the sink was leaking so the floor was always wet . Service is very slow waiting long time for food by the pool or to your room and it took them 1 hour to pick up the empty plates and tray when flies are all over it . Barely any lifeguards around not even in the kids water park area , broken tiles on the ground that kids can cut their feet on. Breakfast was the only good thing and was prompt. Food is overpriced too. Beach is rocky so u really only have the pools . Parking staff and bell boys who take your luggage to your room are not friendly. It’s not what the pictures show , they didn’t even have any fruit offered ! I recommend going towards Jbeil , Jounieh more...
