HBH Palanga — Hotel in Žibininkai

After few years, came to visit this place. Is like tradition once you close to Klaipėda, Palanga, Šventoji, etc you come to visit this place. Years ago used to be good place for food. So the day started with arrival. Not many cars so car park not packed great. I have kids now and HBH have kids play ground, so disided to come and spend some time. Order ice cream for kids and myself got a pancake wit banana. Kids loved the ice cream, i started eating my pancakes. I had one pancake and started eating second one, when i noticed there was a fly in there 🤯 i called waitres. I : sorry what is this? She: hmmm maybe fly? I : yes you right 🤔 She: ohh ok. ( no sorry) Took plate away. 5min past She: We will take that off your bill I: i wouldnt expect otherwise. Great they took that of the bill. Lets move to kids play ground. 1st machine car ride, put money in. Not working 🤔 Call help, girl come and says is not working. Where is the sign? 🤔 Ohh i have put on maybe kids took away. Fine, she refund the money. Lets move to second machine, i have twins so kids should have same, so no drama. And here we go again. So we are coming all the time here but this time here we have problem with staff and food, my girlfriend took for meal Grand mothers meat balls and tow raspberries pinacolada, first pinacolada was great but the second one was 2x times stronger and didn’t even taste as first one, so we bring back the cocktail to get new one but the waitress just pour in little bit more milk for cocktail and bring back the same one in same glass what still was super strong, after 10min my girlfriend started to not feel good we went outside for small walk to get air but that didn’t help so we went to the car to drink some water and then my girlfriend started to vomit 3x times after that I decided to go to the staff and ask to refund the money but they said that they will Not refund the money and the manager told why we didn’t tell anything in first moment (What is kind funny) but for me more necessary is to get some fresh air and water for my girlfriend so she feels better. Had the pleasure of coming over here for a meal with the missus as it is currently off season and not many places are open for business. The area is pretty nice, got some old commie cars and bikes on show outside, very cozy inside. The food wasnt too bad, but it wasn't great, took a while to get the attention of staff, they also failed to bring out some of the stuff that Ive ordered. I've known of quite a few people who have had a really good experience here, but sadly it wasnt the case for me, something was a bit off, I don't think that the food was very fresh. Lastly, I paid 53€ for everything, as soon as I inserted my card it went straight to 63€, seems like automatic tips are the norm here, 20 something percent was a bit excessive for the quality of service that we received, but whatever, hopefully some of that will go to look after the animals kept here. I guess it's worth coming here, it was definitely busy and apparently there are huge queues during the summer season, maybe thats what helps keep the food fresh, but I wont be...
