Eiva/Viešnagė — Hotel in Marijampolė

I lived there alot days. My hotel neighbors were very loud and the walls were realy thin, that i could hear ewerything whats hapening in other rooms. You can hear what you should not hear. It is impossible to sleep, the noise can be heard until 12.00 at night, the roar and rumble of cars and motorcycles.The staff does not consider it necessary to knock on the door, breaks in with their keys to change the trash, but does not bring new toilet paper not even new towels, they dont change the bed linen or just clean the floor. A couple of days before going to Marjampole, I called the hotel Eiva and asked if they have hair dryer. They answered that they had them. I came to hotel and there was not hair dryer and the owner said she would give her. Terrible! Breakfast was awful, every other day there was cottage cheese pancakes or thin pancakes fried in a big amount of oil. I don't eat things without touching them, hoping to ask what to eat or give me a menu to choose from. Than nothing. Unfortunately. There is a bicycle shop and other rooms on the first floor. From shop there comes bad rubber smell. All who lived in this hotel closed their room doors so the smell won't come in our rooms. But the owners opened our doors all the time, and rooms filled whit rubber smell. Hotel owner thought that with door opening they gonna ventilate them. They did not worry about the wishes of customers. Consider all the options for where to stay. I read that there are good hotels, but in reality the owners have to make an effort, although the money paid for the day is a lot. This family run hotel is very clean, comfortable and has a wonderful restaurant on premises. The owners/staff went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure I had a pleasant stay. My room was spacious and well furnished and I had access to a fridge for keeping a few items chilled. This will be my first choice if I should return to Mariampole.
