We arrived in Moletai on bikes without reservations on a Saturday night in May. Bad planning on our part. The only two hotels in town had weddings. The charming hotel was booked because of the wedding. Gerunge had rooms available so we took it. The hotel needed major updating and cleaning. The rooms and common areas were dingy--stained capeting, worn furniture, etc.The wedding went on until the wee hours of the morning so the noise was unbearable. Breakfast was not included. The town is set in a beautiful area of lakes and there are many resorts on the many lakes, if we had had a car we would have driven to one of these resorts, but after cycling all day we were too tired. Lesson learned: reservations needed on Saturday...

It's nice to get tea/coffee facilities in European hotels these days. This hotel had got halfway there - electric jug and cups, but no tea or coffee to use with them! Sadly Moletai doesn't have much tourist infrastructure to support a stay - next to impossible to find anywhere to eat in the evening - though the surrounding area is lovely. Breakfast at Gerugne was served so late we had to forego it and buy our own. Our room was clean and fresh but overall...
Read moreNesvetingas sutikimas.
