We stayed 1 night on a way from Plateliai to Rundale, didn't want to stay in Siauliai. Vadim, the receptionist, was very kind and professional with very good knowledge about the history of the place, called us in advance about dinner arrangements, however having had dinner in Siauliai we opted for tea/cake only, what was perfectly fine with us. Miller's house is outside the Manor park, but still in a beautiful place by the river. We were received warmly and appointed to a nice riverfront room, don't expect any luxury, it's a rustic lovely decorated room and charming in that way. Very quiet surroundings, we had a good sleep. Big parking. Breakfast is served in a separate building, you get juice/water/coffee, toast with jam or cottage cheese, omelette/scrambled eggs/pancakes to choose from and enough to fill you up until lunch time. There is a living museum program in the main Manor on weekends, but we didn't wait for it to start (from 12 am), had a walk around the park and Manor only before leaving. I took a star from the rating as the shower tube is little dated and tub...
Read moreMy tour group and I stayed here for just one night, and our only regret is that we didn't stay for longer.||We were given a warm welcome by the reception staff, who were very helpful throughout our stay. The only negative was that the welcome drink we were offered was alcoholic and so I had to politely decline.||The hotel itself was beautiful. I could have spent hours just looking at the pictures on the walls throughout the building, and the ornaments and other curiosities in the reception area.||My roommate and I were in room 16, which I'm guessing was intended for families with young children. It was like a mini apartment, with a double bed and a single in the main area, a separate twin room, and a shared bathroom. All sections of the room were clean, and the beds were comfortable.||Thanks...
Read moreAlthough the first impression was promissing, it wasn’t the best of experiences. The location is beautiful as is the reception area, but in the room there was a strong smell of sewerage, the room itself, small, not all the decore was in the theme, bathroom very outdated, for a tall person hard to use. Bed not very comfy- mattrace old, made of 2 beds pushed together, no headbord, so kept losing my pillow during the night. Not properly cleaned- there was a cookie under the table. The staff in the hotel was nice, however I feel they could have given more info about the place itself. The “traktieris” bar had pretty average food, rude waiter, when we asked for a menu in English almost rolled his eyes, not the greatest service. We’re frequent travelers, so we have a lot to...
