Palanga Camping — Hotel in Palanga

Perfect. Food, hotel, restaurant, camping. Everything is perfect. A few kilometers away from Palanga City Center. Very big complex. Even there are 500 hundreds guests in the camping place, still you can just hear the voice of the forest and sea. Sea is 500 metes to the camping area. There are bungalows for rent, hotel rooms for rent. Also you can bring your caravan or tent to make a camp. There are some other options for staying in glass houses or even in a train vagon. The complex has also a very good restaurant. The meat was grilled in steel barbeque with the old wood fire. The taste of the steaks were perfect and served with hand made gira which is like a bread beer without alcohol. Also we tried hand made Lithuanian ice cream which were made by bread and pistachio. The ice creams were also perfect. Totally the best place in the vicinity. Strongly recommended. Tek kelimeyle mükemmel bir yer. Denize 500 metre, Palanga şehir merkezine 5-6 km. Büyük bir kamp kompleksi. Kiralık bungalovlar, otel odaları, camdan evler, hatta isterseniz tren vagonunda bile kalabiliyorsunuz. Ziyaret ettiğimiz zamanda kamp kompleksinde 500-600 misafir olmasına rağmen duyabildiginiz tek ses ormanın ve denizin sesi. Karavan ile gelebilir ya da ister ağaçların altında isterseniz kamp alanının açık çimen üzerinde çadır kurabilirsiniz. Mekanda ayrıca bir de gayet mükemmel bir restorant da var. Steak müthiş. We used to love this place a lot and were coming back here often. The last time we visited (28 July) the waiters were extremely rude and ignorant. No one would serve us in half an hour, so I had to order drinks by the bar. What else could I do: the waiter was intensively avoiding our table. When I ordered our drinks (4 coffees) the waiter told me that she was busy and would not bring drinks to our table, so I had to do it myself. Did I come to a restaurant with my family to serve myself? I assure you, not. Then, the waiter told me that she would not accept any cards and insisted on bringing the bill straight away, for me to pay in cash. I do not hold cash on me and so a person I was with, who luckily had cash on him, had to pay for me. Is that acceptable for a restaurant or even a small cafe? I tell you: it isn't. I am deeply shocked, disappointed and furious. I highly do not recommend this place to anyone if you expect any quality time and as a piece of advice, ask you to tech your waiters to behave. Positive side: camp is near the sea, takes ~5-6m to walk to the beach along the forest path. the staff was friendly and explained everything in detail. there is plenty of space for your car/camper/tent. environment is quiet, cosy and safe. Could leave tent unattended.

Negative side: there was a shortage of kitchen supplies (kettle lids, forks, cups etc...) recommended to take your own, but it was possible to boil water at any time. if you want access to electricity, your tent must be in the center of the camp or nearby kitchen. Side note : electricity costs 2€/night, also recommended to take extension cable. Showers cost 1€/6minutes, but bathrooms and showers are clean and always have toilet paper, hairdryer.

Overall: Camp was clean and safe, price is decent. Would come back. 7.5/10

Edit: If you wish to have frozen food you must bring your own cooler. The camping would be way better if there was at least one fridge and there would be an easier access to connect electricity to tents all around the camping.

Apart for a few minor details, would definetly come back for next year. Recommend...
