What was useful is that Provincija Guest House is just a few minutes drive away from Palanga, located in a secluded place in between the nature reserve and the sea. There is also a pedestrian/ cycle path near the Baltic sea so it is easy to reach Palanga by foot or a bike!
If you take the pedestrian path through the woods (I did that) it will lead you to the Amber Museum that is located in the restored 19th-century Tiškevičiai Palace and is surrounded by the Palanga Botanical Garden. It was a good idea to take it to avoid the front wind and then come back with the wind walking on the seashore.
You can actually walk/cycle to Palanga have fun there visiting the museums, restaurants, etc and come back to the nature later in the day to spend a cozy evening and night enjoying the bliss of nature. Really great plan if you are not sure what to do in Palanga!
There is a sauna, a lot of art, instruments and artefacts from Lithuanian and foreign artists who visit Provincija Guest House regularly thus the hosts are never short of exciting stories!
If you come with kids, there is a playground area filled with wooden rides and objects so they enjoy themselves fully whilst you relax nearby with a book or a laptop.
Apparently there are also number of mushrooms around! I found some too. All in all conveniently located, cosy and friendly guest house. Great...
Read moreWe have stayed in the room Marmalade in July 2016 for 3 nights. We found our room ready and with a cot for our baby just like requested.||Welcoming and friendly hosts greeted us. Seeing their smiles everyday really made a difference for a worry free stay. Room is on level 1, facing the beautiful pond and gardens. It has a balcony with tables and chairs for a lovely afternoon relax. There are tea/coffee facilities, also a kitchenette with all crockery and utensils to be shared with two other guest rooms. Though if you need anything just need to ask for hosts and they will be happy to accommodate. They live just downstairs and always available to help you.||The place has lots of interesting things to see, lots of collectibles and art things. There is a children's playground. Short stroll through the bushes and you reach the sand dunes and the beach. It is very quite there, not many people around, so definitely a time to enjoy your family's company,...
Read moreBeautiful place hosted by beautiful people. Located in the conservation park, within a walking distance from the Baltic sea with its amazing dunes. Large adjoining territory to the house. There are two houses for rent, each of which has several rooms with unique design, & even sweet names, like Chocolate, Marmalade, etc. Within a short driving distance you will find lots of nice cafes with cheap & yummy local food. Three years later but I'm still dreaming about those extra-cheesy bread sticks & Duonas Gira (local non-alcoholic drink). You can rent a bicycle & go for a ride in the nearby park, which has lots of quality bike paths. There is also a lake, a sauna, & a BBQ place beside the house, actually on the territory where the house is located. And there is a large dining table outside so, you can enjoy your meals in the sun, & spend relaxing time without even going...
