Pilialaukis — Hotel in Užukampis

Nice place and the food is OK. Unfortunately the service is tragically slow. We ordered at the same time 2 alcohol free beers, 2 soups and 2 main courses. The beers arrived after 30 minutes. The beers were warm. The soups followed 20 minutes later (50 mins from the order). The soups were actually the best course of our meal. The main courses 30 minutes later (1h 20 mins from the order). They were cold and very greasy. There are few waiters working for the amount of customers and I'm sorry for them as they are visibly very tired. I'm not sure how many people in the kitchen but probably also there not enough for handling the orders timely. At least the waiters could have inform about the long waiting times so we would have made an educated decision. Overall: customers are unhappy, people working there are overworked and this is caused by a tragically bad management of the place and poor communication. Also we were on a long distance trip, we stopped to charge our car in the fast charging station right outside. It took almost 4 times the full charging time and we were...

Visiting today, 35 degrees, hot. Not much people, nice service, not so pricy, stuff as usual, just menu was changed after second qurantine. Food is defo fresh, cezar salad with chicken ok, dressing unknown, something between majo, salt and jogurt.... pic smth diferent, ""Kiaulienos saslykas", pork stuff, cooked well, bit of red meet, enough salad and really salty adzika, think someone in love from kitchen. "Cepelinai", all good but I think it's time to start making them from fresh potatoes. Overall nothing special. Btw, drinks, green spritz, nice, really good stuff, gira (kvas) very very good. One of the best restaurants in Lithuania. I was shunned by the hospitality shown by the supervisor and all the staff. I was hitchhiking through Lithuania and went into to get my flask refilled with hot water. They not only dis that without any hesitant but also served the potato dumplings, the traditional Lithuanian dish and it was so delicious along with there home-brewed beer and without any doubt it was one of the perfect I have tasted in the Baltics. If you are in Trakai or Vilnius , do pay them the visit , I promise the ambience is just on another level. Keep up the good work guys, See you again...
