To stay in a greenhouse or not? At first, it sounded a bit unusual, but me being me, I just went ahead and booked it. And I am so glad I did. From the moment we arrived, we fell in love with this unique little forest accommodation.
We had originally planned to stay only two nights, as we weren’t sure what to expect. But when the host told us nobody else was on the property at the time, surrounded by bell tents with not a human in sight, we knew we had stumbled upon something great. That sense of quiet and privacy was such a huge bonus for us, and it convinced us to extend our stay. Not one human, great 😃😃😃
The little details really made this place shine. The bed was incredibly cosy, and the outdoor seating area was perfect for sitting in peace, surrounded by nothing but nature. You can buy wood logs for €5 and rent a boat for just €5, both of which we happily opted for. We grilled a few meals on the BBQ, and to our delight, the host, Ekaterina, left fresh homemade delicious donuts on our porch, the cutest surprise. You can really feel a woman’s thoughtful touch everywhere, from the bouquet of wildflowers in the room to the small comforts provided. All this didn’t go unnoticed. 🌷
The accommodation is practical too: fans and heaters are available if needed (though we didn’t use them), an overheated blanket - and to our relief, there were no mosquitoes bothering us at all. Free drinking water is available by the office, and there’s also a rainwater barrel (you can use this water to wash cutlery). D&E ; They even provide essentials like BBQ utensils and mosquito spray, showing generosity in the smallest of ways. Honestly, I’ve stayed in “5-star” places that wouldn’t even give you a tea bag, so for a glamping experience, this felt incredible.
The shower was surprisingly good and did the job perfectly. Toilets were well thought out, two shared public ones (male/female) plus a private little toilet in the greenhouse itself, which was so handy at night. No fumbling around in the dark to go outside such a clever touch!
Every day, we took the boat out on the lake, and it was absolutely magical. Peaceful waters, forest all around, and just the sound of nature, it’s an experience I’ll never forget. We also experienced a mini thunderstorm (that weather I thrive in) ⚡️🌩️☔️and we absolutely loved it. The noise was so therapeutic.
By the time we left, it felt like the perfect moment to go, almost as if the place had given us exactly what we needed. I will say, as we were leaving, it started to get busier. With a full group of people, it might lose some of that serene privacy we were lucky enough to have. But even then, it would still be a charming and affordable glamping spot.
All in all, this place is more than just a stay, it is Quirky, cosy, peaceful, and full of thoughtful touches. If you’re looking for something different that combines comfort with nature, this little greenhouse retreat is absolutely worth it. Ps; racoons come out at night, they took our pants and bbq items but where found in very close proximity 🥹🤣 they’re absolutely harmless and adorable so if you hear things at night and sniffling sounds that would be them 🦝 I think you can opt for a sauna / hot tub (we didn’t as we had a few experiences along our trip) but I reckon it would be nice to do these in the forestry area. I would definitely come back in the...
