The hotel itself was very nice. Our room was small but will all necessary things (towels, hangers, a table and a chair, TV and hairdryer (not used though :)), carpets on the floor (not sure if it's good from hygienic point of view but so comfortable to walk barefoot). They have a lot of activities for kids outside, sadly it was not a good time to use all of them "at full speed" (it was not very warm yet and the child is too small). However, it's a good reason to come back....||... if there is a chance to improve the situation in the restaurant. We booked a room with dinner (a very good option in a hotel that in the countryside). For dinner, we ordered some starter (nothing special, but ok), pork (not bad) and quark dumplings. The latter were supposed to be a second meal, arrived with the starter, but actually had to be served as a dessert - sweet dumplings with sweet strawberries purree and sugar powder on the top. The child ate them with pleasure but the mom was very unhappy). For the real dessert, we got panna cotta. Guess... Panna cotta itself was tasty but... with the same sweet strawberries on the top and sugar powder everywhere around (on the glass and the plate under - seems that Lithuanians use it for decorations as well). And the breakfast on the next day... Some bread, some cheese, some meat, conflakes, juice (something tasty. Cranberries? At least not the boring orange juice), eggs, fresh croissants with... yes, jam inside and sugar powder on the top! Guys, was the sugar powder in...

The tranquility of the hotel was its most striking feature. It offered a perfect escape from the noise of everyday life, allowing us and other guests to relax in a quiet, serene environment. This peacefulness was a key factor in making our stay exceptionally enjoyable.
A unique aspect of the hotel was the sauna. While it was a basic, traditional firewood-style sauna, its inclusion as a complimentary amenity was a delightful and unexpected bonus. The rustic charm of the sauna, combined with its soothing warmth, provided a genuinely authentic and relaxing experience.
The breakfast at Gradiali also contributed to the overall positive experience. It was more than just decent; it was a well-prepared and satisfying meal that catered to a variety of tastes, ensuring a great start to each day of our stay.
In summary, our time at Gradiali Hotel in Anykščiai was a wonderfully serene surprise. The hotel's peaceful atmosphere, the traditional and complimentary sauna, and the hearty breakfasts all combined to make our stay a memorable one. We would heartily recommend Gradiali to anyone looking for a quiet and...
Read moreWe visited Gradiali as a couple. The surroundings are amazing - lots of things to do here: water fun, volleyball, basketball, playgrounds for kids, etc.; but when it comes to rooms, we were not satisfied. |We lived in the lake’s villa, second floor. Having in mind that it was around 28-29 degrees outside, the room didn’t have any proper ventilation or AC. It was terribly hot at night, we had to sleep with wet towels to make our rest more qualitative. And You can’t open the window, because then a bunch of hungry mosquitos fly in (again - nets for the windows would be a good thing). Another thing - the walls are like made of paper. You can here every single noise coming out from your neighbors. Not even noise - everything, every single word in their dialogues, not to mention kids crying or screaming. |As to food, it was adequate, but wasn’t...
