Nice hotel, but while I was trying to open the door to my room with a key card (which did not work for me but worked for my roommates), a older aged woman from the staff room in presumably a silk-like rose colored gown started angrily telling me in Russian to stop knocking so loudly. I wasn't knocking and explained to her that the key card was not working and I wasn't knocking but threatened to call the reception if I did that (read: try to enter my and my roommates room but with no success) again. I knocked on the door, albeit quietly, and entered the room since my roommates opened the door for me. Got a call from reception 5 minutes later of a report (from that woman) about me knocking loudly and that I should stop. Explained the situation but he presumably didn't listen closely and started telling me that if I broke something in the door (which wasn't the point and wasn't my intent?) I would have to pay for it. I told him that I wasn't breaking the door and tried to go in my room (with the key card, didn't work STILL), and he probably understood and we ended the call. All that in the span of 10-15 minutes and before checkout from the hotel, put me in a bad mood. Quite an enjoyable hotel with a great breakfast in my opinion, but I didn't like the experience in the end. Quiet and secluded location...
Read moreIn a sudden situation, while working in TechArt, I had to find a place to sleep. Park Villa was the nearest. I'm glad I wasn't searching for anything more. It is a very clean, nice place. Was very quiet in a room, and one can enjoy some birds singing through open window. The person in reception was very professional, answered all my questions with ease. For me personally, it is important a good water pressure in a shower and that cold would be COLD and hot would be HOT, couse i just LOVE contrast shower ;) so thumbs up for a good shower :) The only minus I would give is breakfast quality. Maybe on my personal preferences... quality wasn't what I was expecting. All was ok, low range of possibilities to choose. And I don't know about you but it is just a hotel food. Couse sometimes you can get something more even in 3-4stars hotels. And maybe this reaction yo breakfast is because after a good service and clean rooms- expectation for food was hire. Also, I DARE to say to managers - don't put people in a basement... as I understood there's a place with a view to the forest, why should I spend time in a basement eating breakfast? Though coffee was really good. And parking...
Read moreThe hotel has it's age showing - not everything looks perfect but it's to be expected and it's perfectly ok. Location was great and staff was amazing - very friendly and communicative. One lost star is for the leaking toilet (by the stains on the tiles it looks like it leaks for years so it really should be fixed sooner) and the breakfasts - not sure if breakfast menu ever changes but there were the same things available on both mornings we where staying there. Generally not bad, I really appreciate including a lunch dish in the options, choice was quite wide for such a small place but one thing I can't really get over was the very low quality of meats (sousages and deli meats) - not sure if I've tried worse ones :/ The rest of the food was really good so that's just one element you can simply avoid if you're aware of it. In total I definitely recommend this place for a short stay with family or friends - if you're not a perfectionist this place will probably satisfy your expectations. If I ever visit Vilnius again by car then I'll definitely come...
