A hidden gem! I had booked a room as I was working in Differdange the following morning. Room was adequate and immaculately clean. No air-con but that seems to be the norm in Luxembourg. The village of Lasauvage is picturesque, with a lovely bio-diversity trail behind the hotel, giving guests the opportunity for a scenic walk before dinner. What I wasn't expecting was some of the best food I have ever been served in a restaurant. This place is off the beaten track but it is worth travelling to for dinner. No printed menu - the menu is presented on a chalk board, showing that they use seasonal ingredients. The three course menu costs €55, which is great value in itself, but with a surprise amuse bouche and a delicious lime sorbet served with a drizzle of homemade orange rum, there are 5 courses in reality. The wine list is extensive. As is the norm in Luxembourg, wine is comparatively expensive for the continent, but a very good Viognier came in at a reasonable €35. Breakfast the following morning had everything anyone could want, with amazing coffee. I'd love to have a reason to return. Hopefully...
Read moreWe stayed here for two nights and because we had a meeting with a company not far from the hotel.||||It is a small hotel; literally feels like in the middle of no where, but is quite modern and very comfortable. They have a lift, which is very welcome as helps with luggage.||||The rooms are modern, with a TV, Minibar, etc., and very comfortable beds and modern bathroom. And pretty good free Wi-Fi.||||I think the key feature is their restaurant and menu - they focus on gastronomy; and they receive many guests for their restaurant, and I think many people choose to spend a weekend here.||||There is a lot of greenery around, and I think guests have access to a large garden just next to the hotel. (Not sure if it is owned by them or not.)||||We are very pleased we had the opportunity to stay here, and experience the warmth and friendliness of the husband-wife team who...
Read moreFirst off the cleanliness of the place is exceptional and I cannot fault that. We stayed 3 nights in a very small room (rm2) it had a nice decor and comfortable bed but very small with a small bathroom. It's a place you definitely need a car as there is not much to do in the area. Don't expect a long lie the church bells ring at 7am and go on for 2-3 mins and right next door. Breakfast was minimal and a bit disappointing, fairly basic buffet of bread only 1 loaf put out at a time which left guests waiting sometimes for more being put out. Cheese slices, cold ham, 2 cereals, yogurt, jams, marmalade, small croissants, apples, pears, oranges. Water, orange juice tea or coffee. No toaster. Did not eat in its restaurant so can't say anything about that. Would I choose to stay...
