An odd location for a hotel – in a suburban street in a small town not that touristy. It was a one night stop-over en-route from Germany to England, but on reflection would have been better going back to the Ibis in Dinant used on the way out. Booked online from Logis website as looked quite reasonable but on arrival were soon disappointed by it. Proprietor quite friendly. The rooms are a throwback to the 70’s/80’s in décor and style, and so probably is some of the dust on the lights etc. There was a smell of diesel or other fuel throughout the hotel corridors and the whole place is just grubby. Were thinking about eating there and the owner advised about what was available – not all the items on the menu it turned out. My wife had mentioned a salad earlier and this was what we were going to be given. It seemed some of the other things were either unavailable or probably a microwave job. We didn’t fancy it and left. Breakfast was a reasonable choice but no-one else was there and I had to even find water for the kettle myself. The kettle and mugs for the drinks in the bedroom were in the bathroom! Didn’t fancy the look of the shower so gave it a miss. They must have a lot of incontinent guests as beds had plastic undersheets which made them very hot.||||Would not use again or recommend to anyone – you are far better at...
Read moreRooms are very loud and old, you cannot sleep with open window because of the very loud road direct at the hotel. In the hallway are the dirty garbage cans, the vacuum cleaner. The breakfast is very simply and if you come to late you have no cold cuts or cheese. No parking place at the hotel and I got a room without TV, toilet and shower and had to pay the same price as a room with TV, shower and toilet. In my room was a full wardrobe with things of the hotel, an old solarium and it was more a storage room instead a rental room. The hotelier was very nasty when we discussed about the pricing and told me about other guest who steal and makes picnic in the rooms. He said that he has no more fun in his job which he makes since nearly 30 years. As I argument that I am not fine to pay the full price for a room without the booked services he was not service oriented and open minded for a solution. For me it was the badest overnight in 30 years of hotel experience and I will never come back and speak about my bad experiences. You can feel how unhappy the owner is with his job...
Read moreThis hotel was a little disappointing as it could have been so much better. Stuck a little in the 70s/80s it was, however, quite pleasant but the smell of stale smoke in by non smoking room was a poor first impression. This was rectified but was just one of a few things that staff clearly don't pick up on such as a thick layer of dust on the display unit in the dining room. A good walk to eat anywhere else than the hotel, there isn't really much to do nearby. We did eat in the hotel one evening and the food was excellent but don't expect cheap, it is Luxembourg. Parking is on the street outside and could be limited if the...
