This is the only review you will need ! We would 100% not stay here again. Pros: the view, the food was tasty, AC worked fine, generally clean quiet location. Cons : 1. The owner Lynda was not welcoming to us - she was passive aggressive. We do not speak French fluently and she kept correcting us from the onset throughout. Expect to pay the full amount in cash (or close to it) upfront. She will likely ask you to cancel your booking on booking.com so save money. Dont do it. Their website said breakfast was till 10am. We reached at 9:30am and she told us its closed. We pointed this out and she said 'we should have woken up earlier'. How rude. She didn't offer us anything AT ALL. One of us had to take tablets and had to basically beg for some fruit to settle our stomach. The breakfast we did get was very bread based and basic. The steamed banana was quite tasty. She promised us a free massage which we booked for 10am. No massage was given. Soo many lies and grey areas with this hotel. 2. No refills of tissue, no water in the rooms, no fridge in some of the rooms. No mosquito net either. 3. Our bathroom was clean but had the strange tile (pictures below). Off putting The bed was really hard and the sheets were poor quality. 4. Slow service, but the ladies who served us were quite nice - no complaints there really. 5. As mentioned - the food wad decent so no complaints. 6. You have to get a tuk tuk to go to more interesting places. Overall, we felt unwelcomed and the atmosphere was tense and uneasy. For £66 a night you can do a whole lot better. People come to Nosy be for holiday and we just felt extremely awkward and unwelcomed. We did NOT enjoy it and to get anything you basically had to beg. We recommend you go elsewhere! EDIT: Thank you for informing us that your staff treats people differently depending on how you feel about the guest. Treating people fairly, and kindly is normally standard within hospitality industry. We did not do anything untoward, but if you feel so that is your opinion. I stand by my review, while I understand that running a hotel is not an easy task, and yes, we were in Madagascar so things can be 'mora mora' - its clear that your sarcastic response really highlighted how sensitive you are to negative feedback. You ignored the good feedback. Anyway, there are no contradictions here. Your staff (who we said were lovely by the way) were nice, with the two ladies in particular being pleasant. The breakfast incident was with you. The comment on the banana within the breakfast were in reference to seprate days. All the hotels we have stayed in (within Madagascar) have mosquito nets, especially for this price point. We said the rooms were clean so don't quite understand the correlation of mosquito nets and being clean. We booked the massage (which was your incentive for cancelling via booking.com) the previous night - and she confirmed that it was at 10 am the next day. No further comments were given. You know factually that we came down for breakfast at 9:35 am when you informed us that we were late (as per your website it is served till 10am). Breakfast was included in the price we paid - nothing was "free". Once again, we are not combative people and do not like arguing. We wish you all the best, and hope you will respond more kindly to honest feedback.

Amazing hotel with a great view and beach. The owners are super friendly, and you can feel the great atmosphere overall, including their staff. The top point is definitely their restaurant. We've had the best food in Madagascar here truly! Same prices then elsewhere but 100 times better. Everything is super clean. They disinfected the vegetables and fruits and my stomach was so happy, eating there for almost 1 week. Their food is so so good and I highly recommend it. Overall, we've had a fantastic stay. Merci beaucoup

Lieu très sympa, cosy et très humain. Super orientation.

Horrible experience! Do not chose this terrible hotel. I booked 2 nights in this hotel on booking and the manager contacted me 2 weeks in advance to ask me to pay an account on PayPal to ensure my reservation. I did it and when I arrived the person at the desk ask me to pay the full amount because she didn’t know that I payed an account. Once fixed this problem (she had to call the manager to verify that I was telling the truth despite I showed her the PayPal transaction), we entered the room at the ground floor and it looked really bad. We decided to spend only 1 night and to change accommodation but when we talked to the manager we had a really unpleasant experience. He made some comments about our nationalities (“Italians are cheap and French always complain”) and despite was my right to cancel the reservation on booking by paying only the first night , he refused and he OBLIGED us to pay the 2 nights on PayPal (in addition to what I paid on booking after cancelling the reservation) despite we stayed only 2 hours. I think the manager is really dishonest, rude and impolite. A simply proposal for a better room (by paying for it) would have been nice rather than receiving insults. Nosy be is full of nice hotels (I had only nice experiences apart from this one) and I don’t recommend you to end up in a place managed by people who treat their guests...

A fuir!
