Our flight from Lahad Datu to Kota Kinabalu was cancelled late in the day so we had to find some accommodation at the last minute for the night. The owner and his staff were really friendly and welcoming after we'd had quite a stressful day. The rooms were spacious and clean, the air-con and hot water all worked well.||The kitchen wasn't open that night but the owner offered us to use the eating area for an order-in of food and there were cold beers we could buy from the fridge which were welcome. Spacious rooms with large bathroom and a balcony overlooking the beautiful garden and pool. The host family are lovely and Teo provided us with great recommendations for things to do in the area- we visited Mt Silam and the Silam coast protected area where we rented a transparent kayak and saw the most amazing, healthy coral reefs right underneath us!
