Nature Lodge Kinabatangan — Hotel in Borneo

Great Place with amazing staff! My partner and I came to this place on a package tour form a hostel n Sandakan and didn't know what to expect but were delighted to find that it was well organised with great service! Great rooms, grounds, food and staff 10/10

This is the Ideal trip if you want to have a few nights away from it all and cruse up the river to see a little nature. I would say that you may not get to see everything you were hoping to but remember you are going into the wild to see wild animals so the its simply pot luck!

The staff here are very friendly and we were blown away from the service. We love kind people and the team here are very kind and helpful people. A big thanks to all the staff with special thanks to. Kiro (our boat tour guide) who was very good at spotting the animals and unintentionally funny. He was the perfect guide and the boat trips were relaxed, not rushed, very good. Erien, a very nice young lady who smiled and made us feel welcome and warm everytime we saw her and last but not least Amirul for truly taking the time out to make sure our every need was catered for. I would recommend that you spend time with the staff and find out about river life as there is much to learn.

We noticed a few Lodges on the river but I can say that The Nature Lodge was, by far the nicest and the boats were also better than the rest.

The lodge is clean and tidy, food was great and plentiful, help yourself tea/coffee. Food catered to western tastes and very good. No silly extra charges, you pay once with a tour company/Direct and its all taken care of, inc transfer and they even dropped us off so we could get the bus back to KK which was great. We are budget backpacker travelers and the price for the 2 night package was very reasonable even for us.
