Please for those that planning to have company trip / event DO NOT go to this resort. ||Had a company trip event of 55pax. Requested lunch buffet, tea break, bbq buffet at beach deck, 1night stay at the resort for 53pax and breakfast buffet.||Many extra charges not mentioned before we paid the deposit 1 month ago, and told us 3 days earlier before the date of the event that we need to rent Canopy at RM1,400 to use the beach deck(which we already requested and let them know the date of the even before we made the deposit payment), their reason is December of every year will always rain at the resort. But this was NEVER mentioned during this 1 month period after we paid the deposit and discuss about this event details. In the end we are forced to make this rental expenses. ||And the information mentioned from the staff and manger is totally different, the staff said the table and chair cloth is free of charge, then the manager said chair cloth need charge, and after all is confirmed with the manager (table cloth foc and chair cloth charge), the staff said both table and chair cloth need charge. Really confusing. Also on a week before the event the staff said the resort doesn’t have any canopy to rent, and 3days later the manager said rental at RM350 per pcs. And many other small things was told different answers from both side of the staff and management team.||Most importantly, the response speed for both staff and manager always need to take AT LEASET 2HOURS to have response, and the manager don’t answer the phone, so you can’t reach to anyone to complaint or ask for help if there’s any emergency or accident at the resort. And when call back after hours, I was told by the manger “Miss, I’m very busy you know?”||The manager (or boss?) don’t care for the customer’s feelings and the staff is not well trained. Really disappointed experience and hope there’s no other company that will suffer and experience the same feelings like I did.||If there’s any higher management team that see this review and wish to contact me, please do, because I really wish that this resort’s service will be better so I can have another option to choose...
Read moreGood view and clean beach and friendly dog😊 However, the chalet is dilapitated. The place offer bbq pit but lack of bbq equipment such as bbq wire, kitchen wares like plates, spoon, pans for cooking and other basic kitchen utensils..we even bring our own protable stove as they don t provide kitchen gas for us to cook unlike other family vacation place..it is super troublesome as this is a family vacatiom place however we have to burden ourselves to bring everything/basic kitchen utensils to this place..this is my first family vacation that does not provide all this basic necesities.. the cafe are not open except on weekend and the nearest place to get food is around 20 minutes drive.. the other shocking thing is that i have to pay Rm50 for my rubbish..it is just shocking because, first we have clean the house properly and gather all the rubbish in one garbage plastic and the second thing is that, they don t even provide a proper large rubbish bin for us to throw the garbage bag and yet they chrge us Rm50 for the rubbish bag.. However, i give 1 star for the friendly dog who keep us company😊 Not recommend because of non friendly for...
Read moreThis is a gem of a seaside resort. Despite being in the humble oil town of Miri, the intent behind the setup and service provided is world class. What sets it apart from other resorts in Sarawak is that it does not have a stuck up, snobby or wannabe/noveau riche vibe. Instead, it feels like the beach home of someone that comes from old money. I am particularly impressed by the usage of belian timber on most of the chalets. It is like the kampung version of the Marriot Hotel, or Damai resort. The proximity to Bekenu allows for the experience of white sand and gravel beaches, and also crystal clear waters. It is also discrete. Making it perfect for a secret lovers getaway. There are also areas where families are certain to enjoy themselves. Service is humble, mindful and provides a big serving of old school Sarawakian hospitality. I suggest they change the name to Tim's Hidden Seaside Resort or something along the lines. The term hideout is an understatement. But of course, beauty being in the eye of the beholder, the sky is the limit for patrons. I will be...
