Turtle Garden Resort — Hotel in Borneo

It’s kampung feel resort. Pretty old, so most part of the resort is wear and tear, the room is clean but other place is pretty dusty. We stayed in the honey moon suite, the room is beside the reception (which is closed 24hrs). We are the only guest there and I would say the owner and kakak were nice. And they offered trip to look for proboscis monkey and firefly. We booked but too bad it was raining during our two days stay, so they refunded to us, which I really appreciate it.

But other than that I am pretty disappointed with the beach. since it’s beach resort and I’m expecting better for the beach but honestly speaking, IT’S MUDDY WATER. Probably because there is river mouth nearby, the sand are dark in color, the plastic bottles on the beach literally EVERYWHERE. Dead and smelly fish on shore too. I wouldn’t even let my 1 year old son touch the sea water at all.

So if you are looking for cheap accommodations and willing to travel to other beach (recommend Kuala Penyu beaches), it’s good to stay here if you don’t mind the wear and tear. Or else, I would recommend you go to kuala penyu beachside, just another 30mins away. It’s clean, white sandy beach and...

suitable for weekend gateaway , the room is nice with seaview but the furniture a bit old..

room price : 4* Rm160 for 4 person i think its ok with the seaview

atmosphere : 5* really fall in love with the hammock and view, angin sepoi² and better if owner provide bicycle for rental

beach cleanliness : 4*

room conditions : not for fussy visitor who expect luxury room in the small town..for me is ok as long the room is clean ..i've been stay in very bad room condition until i cant sleep and take shower...this one is ok

room furniture : a bit old and classic..the aircond very noise until my husband cant sleep so we just turn on the ceiling fan but still ok for me for weekend gateaway

the owner very friendly but i think he need to upgrade all the furniture...

The place is in private and gated area. U have to make reservation first before u can enter the place. It has long sandy beach with beautiful scenery especially during sunrise. ATVs are provided for rent. Although the place have restaurant, u have to pre-order a day before for the meal. The room we stay is nice and clean with 1 queen bed and 1 single bed. They provide electric kettle in the room but no coffee or mug provided. So if u plan to stay here, make sure u come with food supplies or make the order...
