We stayed 1N in the resort at Lily Villa, the staff in charge was very helpful and welcoming. He tries his best to help whenever we needed help.||||Road on the way up is bad and narrow, and limited (very small) signage. Be extra careful if you plan to self-drive.||||Many woods (stairs, balcony, etc.) are aged and in need of maintenance / replacement, it could be dangerous for kids (or even adults) if they are not careful enough.||||Fridge (freezer) in the villa really needs de-froze and cleaning. It smells so bad until we dare not put our food inside. Ice build up in the freezer covers almost of of the space, we had to remove some to put our drinks (no, you can't chill you drink in the fridge but to put in the freezer).||||One last & most important thing! It's best that the owner pre-warn your client (especially those who booked Lily) if there are any groups/company coming for team building. If needed, why not check with your client if they want to swap/change the room type, I'm sure most of them will say yes. We had one group coming for team building at the pool during our stay, they utilize the pool whole afternoon (until dawn) so we can't actually enjoy/relax at the pool but to suffer with their inconsiderate noise WHOLE AFTERNOON! FYI, Lily is the villa that is facing swimming pool, so think twice before booking this unit.||||Overall it is an enjoyable trip,...
Read moreThis is an Oasis in the middle of the jungle. When we were the only guests there the silence was bliss. When other folks starts to show up and starts blasting Karaoke, its terrible. As per other reviews this resort is located mid hill and it is drivable up in your car, just that ours was a bit lower so had some scratches to the front bumper etc. Mind you we were driving up during the rain and in the dark as we arrive rather late. The staff there was very helpful and we just spent 2 days lazing and chilling out in the resort. They would help to pack food from a coffee shop (SG & MY Speak for a food court with many varieties of food, e..g fired rice, fried noddles etc). The place has seen much much better days, shingles were dropping off the roof, we had Styrofoam boxes in our balcony collecting leaks from the roof. Toilet dont work that well, doors needs some doing to open and close. Decking around the pool also looked dodgy. This is similar to many properties we have stayed in Malaysia, from 4 stars to Airbnb. This is really a pity as the location is just fantastic to get away from it all. Oh and last but not least, this is in the middle of the forest so do expect bugs...
Read moreI rate it 3.5 stars for now. Visited on morning of day 2 of CNY 2022. The establishment started offering F&B since a week ago with breakfast/lunch (dimsum & local) from 8am-2pm and seafood steamboat dinner from 5-9pm. Dimsum here is the same as CP Museum dimsum and cheaper though limited variety at the moment. The fried radish cake is delicious. Skip the toast :P
The crew is hospitable and helpful. Perhaps since the F&B is still new and understaffed, the food arrived without the proper eating cutlery and you need to request from the crew, or just get them yourself from the table at the cashier where you place/pay for your order.
This place offers a respite to hikers, cyclists and families to get away from city life. You can hike up the trail from the Indian temple at Sg Ara and follow along until you reach the resort. It is the same path to Emperor Villa.
The scenery is naturally beautiful and good for taking pics. Will...
