OYO Home 90383 Chaah Homestay 1 — Hotel in Johor

Drove up from Singapore not knowing the experience I was about to face. When I arrived at the property, I was told by the receptionist that the roof is leaking hence they are not able to give us a room. They would have known about this earlier and could've found ways to communicate this to us, but no, they didn't.

What followed was a continuation of the unpleasant experience. The receptionist insisted that the amount on hold would have to be refunded via Agoda instead of direct crediting into my credit card. I reached out to Agoda immediately who said they'll look into it but after 3 days of back-and-forth, m credit card got charged by Agoda and the status of the booking is reflected as 'Completed', talk about adding insult to injury.

Not staying in this property ever again and unlikely to use...

It is a good experience to stay at Chaah Homestay 1. The town is quiet with few shop houses and dining place within the walking distance. The room and bed are acceptable to me and the family. There is a big hall with big TV. The only set back is sound proof system is not good in the room, Also only common toilet. Every room has a bathing compartment, however, both room 1 and room 5 the water tap and shower head is leaking. Should get it repaired to avoid...

Scam hotel! Was there for a wedding reception, seemed like a decent hotel shown in online booking site plus the nearest stay in Chaah town.
