We stayed one night here for a friend's wedding and the room they gave us initially was one of the older rooms that was infested with mould on every single wall and on the ceiling in the room and the bathroom. How anyone managed to stay in this room with that much mould everywhere is beyond my comprehension. We have 2 young children including a 4 month old so we called the reception to change rooms. They sent someone to 'check the problem' and an engineer came in and seemed to be very lost and confused. He had a look at the walls and the ceiling but seemed unable to answer any of the questions we had for him which was simply - when can we move rooms? When he did find his words at the end, he informed us that he was sent here to verify the problem and he cannot tell us whether we will be able to move rooms or not. We had to call reception a couple of times before they finally sent someone to fetch us and move us to their newly furnished rooms which was very nicely furnished. We only saw the 2 rooms and the breakfast room so we cannot comment on the facilities of the resort. For a 5 star resort, I expect the rooms to be in a better state (at least in a state where it is safe and healthy for guests to stay in) regardless of how old they are. The 2 rating is the midway between the mouldy old room (0-1 stars) and the lost engineer and the friendly staff we did have help us move to the new room which was worthy of a 4 star rating.

A peaceful stay with a great pool view, just needs a few maintenance fixes & better room amenities The room was clean and comfortable, with a cozy bed and soft pillows. I stayed on the 6th floor and had a lovely view, especially of the pool area, which was a highlight. The pool itself was beautiful and well-maintained. The staff throughout the hotel were friendly and cooperative, making the stay pleasant. The breakfast buffet had a decent variety, and I liked that they had a live egg station. The restaurant, Burger Lab, was okay, not amazing but decent enough if you want a quick meal. Mostly local Muslim Malaysian crowd. Also they ask for a deposit, i booked for 2 nights and paid 250 Malaysian ringgit. The airport is half hour to 40 minutes away from you and same goes to the downtown However, there were a few things that could be improved. The flush in the washroom wasn't working properly, and the water pressure in the bathtub was oddly strong while the rest of the taps were weaker. The AC wasn’t cooling the room as much as expected, and basic amenities like slippers and bathrobes were missing. The room cleaning was alright, but I wish they provided a few more thoughtful touches. Although there was an iron in the room, much of the room furniture and fixtures felt outdated and could use some refresh.

I will never return to this hotel. The service was absolutely terrible! I arrived at night, and there were no other guests around except one man who claimed to be the "Assistant Manager". He was extremely rude. I had booked a Deluxe Room and politely asked the staff if it was possible to get a large bed instead of twins, since I was traveling with my three small children. At first, the staff member (a chinese lady) said they were full due to an event but would check with her manager. Then Amir came to the front desk and very rudely said, "Tak ada katil besar, kita dah penuh dengan event ni. Esok checkout pun 11 pagi, jangan lambat." He kept repeating that checkout is at 11AM and not to be late because they're full with events. 😡 I was begging politely—if there was any chance of getting a large bed, please let us have it for the kids’ sake—but that’s how he responded. I also asked about a baby cot, which cost RM27 for one night. After checking in, I had to call the receptionist again just to get it delivered. It came very late, and to my surprise, it looked exactly like a hospital baby cot. 😆 I called back to ask if they had any other types, but was told, no—that’s the only one. 🫠 On top of that: Extra towel: RM5–RM10 (per pc) Extra bed: RM80++ Honestly, not worth a single cent. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

I recently had the opportunity to stay at Bangi Resort Hotel for one night, and I must say, my experience was far from what I expected from a five-star establishment. While the hotel has its charm, especially in terms of cleanliness and maintenance, my overall stay was marred by significant shortcomings.

First, the positives: the hotel, despite its age and outdated decor is well-maintained. The maintenance staff has clearly put in a lot of time and effort to keep the common areas clean and smell great. Kudos to them for keeping the place in good shape. However, this is where the positives end.

The buffet dinner, (known as the Pesona Iftar Ramadhan during my stay), left much to be desired. The food selection was mid at most, chaotic and the dishes lacked creativity and passion. I was hoping for a memorable culinary experience, but regrettably, nothing stood out. It felt more like a mediocre offering rather than the sumptuous meal one would expect at a five-star hotel. Some even say, for half the price, they could just as easily eat buffet at the nearby Bangi Golf Resort.

The check-out process was the most frustrating part of my stay. I had to wait 10-15 minutes just to settle my bill, despite the hotel NOT being at FULL capacity. To make matters worse, I had to inquire about the status of my check-out after witnessing other guests after me being processed promptly. The reception staff, named Amirul, seemed indifferent to my situation, handing over my deposit WIHTOUT an apology or even a smile which left a sour taste in my mouth. This lack of basic customer service is unacceptable, especially for a hotel of this caliber.

To add to the frustration, I was disappointed to find that the contact number provided by the hotel led to the same UNHELPFUL team, with no access to a manager or higher authority. It seems that the hotel has declined significantly over the past two years (the last time I stayed), transforming from a DECENT stay to one of the WORST customer service in my travels.

I wouldn't recommend Bangi Resort Hotel. The POOR customer service, dining and guest experience have made me decide not to return. A one-star rating feels generous given the...

We booked three Deluxe rooms, each with its own set of issues. The hotel is quite old, and I recall staying here back in 2008 when it operated under a different name. The room size is decent for two people, featuring a balcony with a lovely view of the lake and golf course. The bathroom and linen was impressively clean and tidy — everything sparkled.

However, the air conditioning was a major letdown. One room was too cold, another was too warm, and mine had an annoying ticking sound throughout the night, causing me to wake up several times. Since we arrived late at night and only planned to stay for one night before checking out after breakfast, we decided to endure it.

Breakfast was decent but far from memorable, especially when compared to the experience I had under the hotel’s previous management. I still recall the glorious presentation and delicious variety they once offered. This time, however, the food selection was more limited, and the service left much to be desired. The staff appeared disinterested, moving around like robots with no smiles or warmth, as if they were there out of obligation. Cleanliness also needed improvement — I noticed dust on several utensils, though to their credit, the staff promptly addressed it when informed.

The restaurant is located next to the pool, which was packed with children during our visit. It seems to be a family-friendly hotel, as it’s likely a popular spot for families seeking a short getaway on weekends or school holidays.

The check-out process was another point of frustration. For a hotel of this stature, it shouldn’t take nearly 20 minutes. Worse still, despite all that time, no one informed me that I had left my charger in the room. I only realized it after I got home. It made me wonder what exactly took so long during the room clearance process.

Overall, it was a stay with mixed feelings. While the scenic views, cleanliness, and family-friendly environment had their merits, the inconsistent air conditioning, unengaged service, and slow check-out process left much...

Really enjoyed my stay in Bangi Resort! The receptionist let me to check in early and check out tad bit late and I can’t thank enough for that. They also upgraded my room with amazing golf course view. I booked this resort because I just wanted to clear my mind and it was sensational.I did not have to go out of the resort to kill my time. Plenty of restaurants inside, managed to dine in at De’wan and myburgerlab during my stay. The in room dining also served really good food! I also enjoyed my time at the gym and to my surprise, guest can have access to the wet sauna, dry sauna and jacuzzi! I think not many guests are aware of it and I had the place all to myself despite during my trip was during a peak period (public holiday & school holiday). The cons, they required RM250 deposit and can only be paid by cash or credit card. They did not accept debit card and I had to take Grab to the nearest mall and cost me RM12 just to withdraw my money. Quite troublesome! The breakfast was below par honestly, not much of a selection compared to other 4-5 stars hotel and taste wise was below average. The only thing I enjoyed is their congee with youtiao. The in room dining charge RM10 for delivery which I dont think it makes any sense just for them to use the lift from the first floor and deliver it to my room. First time I go to a hotel that charge delivery fee for in room dining. They have like a farm tour or something but I didnt get any explanation of it during my check in. When I came to know about it, they told me that the tour only operates on Saturday evening and when I asked about that, the group just left for the trip. Quite a bummer because they didnt offered me this trip during my check in and I didnt get a chance to experience the activities in their farm.Lastly, I wish they would provide bathrobe in the room and everything else was great! The receptionist named Khairunnisa deserved a raise for providing me excellent...
