We stayed in this very run down place for two nights and three days, I don't know how we survived. If not for the commitment to build an orang Asli house nearby and there was no other accommodation for us to move to.We arrived at the reception and were given our keys and drove straight to our villa .When we arrived at the front of the villa we saw this very old and unkept villa, uncut grass, dirty, and to be honest looks like a haunted house. I was thinking that there must be a mistake, so we drove back to the main entrance of the resort to confirm that it was our villa, YAP it was ! We struggled to open the front sliding door, it was rusty and covered in dirt. when we managed to open the door , the smell of dampness hit us. There was a dirty blue carpet, an orange settee badly stained mouldy walls and a TV covered in dust. There were three bedrooms, one with 3 beds, one with 2 beds and one with 1 queen size and 1 small single bed. Luckily we brought our own towels (those on the bed had seen better days) Two bathrooms, one of the bathrooms was so terrible that the shower head fell off on the secomd day, the sink when you brush your teeth you also wash your feet because it was leaking from the drainage pipes just below the sink ! We called reception and the man came and just moved the pipe because it slipped from the tapes that was holding it together The best part was the ceiling of one of the bedroom the ceiling board had slipped and there was a big gap and we could hear lots of running footsteps and scufflings ( probably our friendly rats ) didnt sleep very well at night incase they came visiting .On top of all that, the kettle that was supplied ,the lead was not long enough to plug onto the wall. we had to take the kettle to small hall and balance the kettle on the arm of the settee. Yes you wondered why we put up with the bad conditions, like I said we were committed to built the house and ther were no other accommodations nearby for our use. Looking around the "resort " facilties many of the places were not well maintained and paints were peeling etc. Some of the volunteers stayed in the dormitories where the facilities were just as bad . The shared facilties in the bathrooms, the sinks were blocked and just as dirty. One of the girls left a bun on her bunk bed and when she returned to her room later , the bun had moved to the other side of her bed with a hole and half eaten.|I think most people put up with this type of problem because when you go to eco venture "hotel " you think that this is what is normal and accept it and for team building "we have to put up with it to be strong " hmm...|We can put up with basic facilities but the place must be hygienic and clean and safe.||I would not recommend this resort unless you are happy...
Read moreWent there for a company trip with my husband and 4 year old. Checked in late and came in late for breakfast but lucky thing they still served us nasi lemak and teh tarik. We didn't join in the outdoor games but there are cats, ducks and geese that kids can look at. Stayed in the container room. Fortunately it was decent, comfortable with clean toilets. There's a TV showing a blurry TV3 channel but my kid enjoyed watching that. Air con was super cool at 17 degrees but we some how could not control the temperature with the remote control. Weather was wet, raining most of the time so the ground was soggy and muddy. Just walk around and look at the other participants playing the flying fox and archery. My husband went fishing. You need to pay extra for some of the activities that are not included in the package e.g. RM30 for kayak. Lunch was ok with thai green curry chicken and vegetables. Dinner was tou fu and rice with fried chicken. Next morning breakfast was fried mee hoon with sambal and bread with kaya that you can help yourself with. The other participants enjoyed playing in the pool and paintball. Better bring your own biscuits and packet drinks in case you get hungry at night. Also brought extra garbage bags to dispose of diapers and other food and drink packets. It was easy finding the place using Waze and there are some other fishing ponds and restaurants a few...
Read moreStars awarded for accomodation and teambuilding facilities and activities.
Teambuilding facilities were awesome, especially recommended the paintball, zoo, and spartan race track. The setting for paintball feels like we were playing PUBG, surrounded by trees, hilly, with a rundown rusty 4x4 in the field and quite big.
Spartan race track is huge with lots of obstacles.
Zoo was big with ample of domestic animals. Would be better to be called petting zoo. Animals are tame and can be petted. Suitable for kids.
There is a lake and the DIY rafting activity was good.
Ample of parking space for cars and motorcycles.
We stayed in the "kontena" rooms which is available for 2, 4 or 6 paxx. Got aircond, hot shower, TV and fridge. We pretended the TV and fridge isn't there because they weren't functioning during our stay. The decor was fabulous with great artistry (refer pics). Do set in mind that this is an outdoor resort, so you wouldn't expect it to be super like a hotel.
For downside, wouldn't recommend the catering there. There are several halls to be used for teambuilding or conference, but sometimes electricity would trip when...
