Cinta Sayang Resort — Hotel in Kedah

We decided to stay here as we had our wedding reception 7 years ago. We sincerely thought it’s the same 4-star resort we used to love. Without hesitation, we booked the so called newly-renovated room for 5 nights.||When we first drove into the resort compound, we were shocked of lack of greenery we used to remember, most of the trees are no longer there and unfamiliar buildings now line along the road.||We checked in and got the access card to our room which is about 300m from the lobby. It is basically a single storey building with cluster of rooms within. No complaint till now. ||Then our nightmare and series of unfortunate events started…||Access card issue,|We unpacked swiftly and went out. When we came back at night, we were unable to open the door using the card and needed assistance from the front desk to manually open the door. Since then we have not been able to open the door ourselves till check out, mind you this was after numerous time of reprogramming the door and exchange of card.||Pest and lack of essential items|As it was advertised as ‘newly renovated’, we kinda expected it to be just that. To our horror, the wall was infested with ants and their trails were everywhere. And there was no toilet tissue paper which is the most essential item ever. There is only one phone at the hallway, for 9 rooms within the building.||Lack of security and privacy|Throughout our stay here, we did not see any security personnel. There is a security post at the entrance but nobody is there. However we were informed there is security personnel patrolling the hotel compound. In terms of privacy, it’s been unpleasant as we get disturbance from families staying next door. We had kids staying next door playing our doorbell, and kids were shouting and laughing at 1am midnight.||This has by far been my worst hotel stay, it’s definitely not 4-star, not even 2-star...

There are not many hotels in Sungai Petani,after searching online we weretorn in between few hotels and decide to stay in this resort. We stayed one night in Deluxe twin room 891 with balcony for RM212 inclusive breakfast.|The check in was fast and the reception was friendly. Since we arrive late at night they offer us a late check out. We were so tired and we just want to rest. Upon arriving to our room sadly the room was dirty and there is hair on the bed,|The toilet was a dirty I was sceptical to use the bathtub the shower curtain was dirty and even worse there is a hand soap sticking on the wall. |The coffee cabinet was absolutely disgusting and dirty dust is everywhere I even can write my name on it. The curtains was unhooked and there is hole on it. There is lizard poop on the table and floor near the curtains.|The bed was okay comfortable just there is hair on it. The plug to charge my phone was so far on the other side of the wall so i need to move the bed and the side table closer to the wall and there is dirt under the bed when we move the bed.|The air condition in the room working well.. |Breakfast spread was okay but the view is beautiful makes u feel like u want ro run across the fields.The coffee is too strong, didn’t provide milk at the coffee and tea station only sugar and creamer so I took the milk from the cereal place. No amount of milk can dilute the thick strong coffee.|We went back to the room and check out immediately after breakfast and went to the nearest starbucks to get...

The service is terrible. Firstly, the marketing is deceptive. In the website it mentioned my room comes with private pool. There was none! The surau was located at the back without ablution facility. The surau was also small and smelly and was poorly maintained! I requested for early check in when making bookings. The resort did not respond to my request and when i arrived, the receptionist insist the check in time is 3pm. Just to share, it was Monday and there were not many guest. There were 3 staff manning the check in but without any customer. Most of the rooms were also empty and yet they have problems to accommodate for early check in request. I arrived at 130pm and they refused to checked me in. They told me to come back later as the check in time is at 3pm. Why not just checked me in first and when the room is ready just call and give me the key! So i come back after 2pm because they said the room should be ready by then. Yet it is still not ready! I was so upset and requested to see the manager. Until i checked out, the manager did not came! And they insist on cash for the deposit when other hotels accepted credit card as deposit. It can easily be cancelled upon check out. They even mentioned to keep the receipt and that they may not pay back the deposit if the receipt is lost!!! What a poorly...
