OYO 44033 Terap Inn Kuala Nerang — Hotel in Kedah

The price in the OYO system is not the same as the price when you check in. Even though you can get many discounts in the OYO system, when you arrive to check in, the staff will tell you that there is an additional charge because the on-site price is fixed.

There is a notice at the counter stating that you have to pay the fixed price or cancel the booking in the system. I forgot to take a picture of the notice, but it stated that there is a fixed price for all rooms.

The question here is, if you want to set a fixed price, why use the OYO system to promote the guesthouse? Because people will definitely be attracted to the low price.

Secondly, if like me, you prefer to make online payments when booking, you will only find out about the additional charge when you check in, and if you want to cancel, you cannot do so because it is already past the cancellation period of one day before check-in.

Even if you cancel the booking, you will not get your money back. Whether you like it or not, you have to pay more to stay there, and you may not even find another hotel. This is customer exploitation.

In terms of cleanliness, it is unsatisfactory. There are hairs and stains on the bedsheet.

In terms of facilities, the TV is broken, the water heater is not working, and the kettle is also not working.

Very quaint, surrounded by lush greenery & continuous captivating cricket sound will make your stay comfortable. The rooms have A/C, shower & TV. Clean rooms and hallway. Best part is the viewing tower which overlook the town, hills and mountains. Abundant fresh air & lovely birds chirping in the morning. The receptionist staff, Aida and the rest were great. Friendly, attentive, warm & delightful. She has been to the UK many times which means she can speak english very well. The room is unclean to begin with. The room is filthy as soon as you go in, and my feet got filthy too. The floor is covered in dust and other stuff. The bedsheets smell like they haven't been washed in a year, and the towel that was prepared for the guest is tattered like a cloth.
