ALA Riverview Lodge — Hotel in Kelantan

I stayed here for 1 night. At first, i was attracted to this place because of "private" swimming pool.

Good things:

1. Floor inside the room is very clean and sparkle
2. Free flow unlimited drinking water from coway machine
3. Generous extra mattress and pillow for another 6 adults
4. Superb riverview scenary especially during sunrise
5. Big refrigerator and cutlery provided
6. Despite water supply issue in kelantan (eg rusty, cloudy or low pressure), during my stay no water supply problem.

Downside:

1. Swimming pool is not well maintained. Mould everywhere, cloudy green water. So filthy but my kids too excited to get into it, then no choice have to entertain. I got itchiness after that despite immediate shower taken. I expressed my dissatisfaction regarding this to the owner, however they ignored even without a word like "sorry". Or maybe owner think the swimming pool quality is already good? i doubt so. I went to many other swimming pools before, none as filthy as this.

2. Underpower air-conditioned for large room space. i can only feel the coldness after the sunset. and the coldness gone after the sunrise (make us wanna checkout earlier)

3. Bathroom is old fashioned design. Mirror got so many splash and mark, look like never clean before. Dont expect cozy and luxury as it just like tandas rumah kampung. Also unpleasant odour, idk how to describe it but like a soil smell (maybe due to water source from borin?)

4. Big ants immediately do visits your food/drink if u left yours even for awhile. make sure place your drink or food in tight container or freezer.

5. Lighting is soooo bad. I couldn't believe my eyes as it so bland and too plain just like in the night market. My suggestion is, if the owner had a tight budget to hire an ID, you can pay a visit to any IKEA showroom to get an inspiration 😂

My conclusion:

1. This place is good for those who are having a big family members (4-6children) and searching for a place just for sleeping at night and/or want to enjoy scenery view abit during sunrise and sunset.

2. Strongly not recommended for a couple or small family (with 1-2 child) who are looking for luxury, cozy place and plan to enjoy swimming pool. The owner seems no effort to fix the issue as some customers before me already complaint about it and me myself also experienced exactly the same. with the price, you can get alot other Airbnb/hotel with...

Tempat cantik and suitable for short getaway.. but i do feel sorry sebab terlalu banyak semut charlie and we need to spray all over the room dan vacuum by ourselves..idk either they already fix it or not..perhaps they already did but thats the thing la i just can...

Awesome place for those coming with big family, ..and of coz for couple too. Soho concept, very privacy but a little bit far from attractive(makan-makan) location..in my point of view,...
