Hotel Machang Bajet DSega — Hotel in Kelantan

Overall, the hotel was comfortable. However, I was a bit disappointed. During check-in, there was no staff at the counter. The door was locked, and although I rang the bell several times, there was no response. I had to make a phone call before a staff member came.

The key card sensor for Room 101 was faulty, but this was not informed to me beforehand. At night, another guest managed to access the room, which was very dangerous, especially for a female guest. I had to call the staff to request a room change, which was quite inconvenient.

That said, the staff were very helpful and the room change process was quick. I hope the hotel management can repair the door as soon as possible or at least inform guests if the issue has not yet...

To be fair its the ONLY hotel, albeit a budget hotel, in Machang. The hotel is ideal for overnight or short stops ...not long stays . Its ideally situated on route to Tanah Merah and Kota Bahru. There is no dine in facilities and as such for morning breakfast you have to walk next door to the petrol station to pick up a quick bite or settle for the Kopi@Co that serves normal bistro type food in a cosy enclave at the end of the petrol station. The rooms and attached bathrooms are clean and comfortable with a plasma tv and internet access. The room is clean. Facilities in the room are quite complete. Need to supply slippers though for the comfort of customers. The shower head in the bathroom is too near the toilet bowl. Each time you bath, the toilet bowl will get wet, hence not convenient. Also the sink is too small. Hardly can use it without wetting the floor. Otherwise, the room is very reasonable for the room rate & it's away location from the main roads. Makan shops are somewhat limited though there is a western food cafe nearby.
