Mines Inn Hotel — Hotel in Kelantan

i stayed in this hotel when i came here to work. it is situated in a two double storey shop houses. the staff in the front desk is helpful. the room is clean. air cond is functioning well. toilet is clean. just beside the hotel, there is a 7 -11 convenient store opening for 24 hours. there are parking spaces in front of the shop lots. but usually it will be full by the night because there is another hotel operating in the same row of shop lots nearby. but there is an empty land just beside 7 -11, so parking will not be a problem. and being situated just beside 7 -11, i assumed that it is safe. ( i parked there too). there is a local bus station just within 1 minute walking distance from the hotel.In the morning, if you walk for 20 minutes, you will reach the old town of gua musang and there will be food stalls selling local food. All clean tile and new furniture, the Mines is a safe town centre bet. Ground floor rooms are a bit cell-like, but very clean and quiet. There's a 24 hour convenience store close by, but there's no beer in town and the restaurant choices are a bit basic.||The bus terminal has moved to about 1km south of town, an MYR10 taxi ride or a l-o-n-g walk away, but if coming from Kota Bharu ask the busdriver to let you off at the first traffic light.||The train station is a ten minute walk away, but currently (Feb 2015) the line is closed following recent devastating flood damage to the north.||At about USD25 or Euro20, the Mines is a...

Overnight pitstop on a Kuala Lumpur-Bentong-Kota Bharu drive. Our windowless twin-bedded room was on the ground floor of a 2-storey shop lot. Our air-conditioned room could be described as bare necessity - attached bathroom with hot water; no chairs or table. LED televsion but poor reception. Cold and hot water dispenser in the common area. No complaint for a one-night stopover. There are 'better" rooms on the upper floor. ||There's a 7-Eleven store next door plus Muslim eating places behind the hotel.
