We checked in quite late that night, around 8pm, it was raining heavily but manage to park right under the main porch without anybody enquiring. the trail that leads from the lobby to our chalet was about 100m and most of it was uncovered. when we (6 of us) ask for some umbrella, the staff informed us there were no umbrellas available BUT if we need them, she can SELL us some. can you believe it? Since we did not bring our own umbrella, we HAD to buy one of the hotel umbrellas. luckily the rain died down soon afterwards. ||upon entering our chalet, we found out that the room was a bit dated. it is not that bad but it could have been better. that night we lose precious sleeping hours, battling with mosquitoes, i am not joking. The view of the beach that morning really heals our tiredness. Breakfast was...how shall i say it, nothing much. there were toast, nasi lemak, with huge anchovies which were not halfed, thus the bones of the anchovies became choking hazards. there were corn flakes which goes mushy straight away when milk was poured, which instantly kills my little daughters appetite towards one of her favorite food.||we all went out around 10am and by the time we came back in the evening, guess what, the room was not even made. no room service! our room was like it was. worst still, the swimming pool was close for the rest of the afternoon and that did not pleased my 12 year old son and my 6 years old daughter. But i was ready for the 2nd night when i brought back a can of mosquito insecticide spray for our room. if you guys out there dont mind these downsides, it is an ok place for the...
Read moreWe stayed here following personal recommendation....!||As mentioned by others the beach is rocky, not natural rocks but shoreline protection which (in Oct 2013) is apparently being installed to protect the land following the tsunami which removed most of the previous beach. We had a sea view chalet, about 15ft from the haul road. Yes you can walk along the road/beach......even fly kites, it's a novelty for a few minutes. Local food stalls are fine, you'll find more beach inside these stalls. As for the chalet, i don't think it had been cleaned for a few years, months, let alone before our visit. The room was dank, dust and dirt everywhere, showing the lack of maintenance. The metal frames rusting, windows don't close fully, we bought bug killer and cut short our stay as a result. £25 per night. We were one of very few people staying, they cooked breakfast to order, it was otherwise very basic. The positives...the shower was hot and the a/c did...
