We had a car so was set in a quiet location away from the main roads. Owners were so responsive and helpful as we had a last minute booking here due to a poor choice of original accommodation. Straight away WhatsApp me a short video of the room and price. We came straight away and had a look around. The owner was so helpful and made sure the room was clean for when we finally arrived. For a family of 4 we stayed in Suria right by the gates, not sure what other people have seen in this but it was perfect for us. The aircon is so cold plus fans worked so well. Room was freezing in the morning! Little place to sit out whilst the kids slept at night. Helpful to have a fridge in the main area that you can help yourself to that stocked sprite, beer etc. Just write it down and pay at the end. The pool was always free, no big queuing for sunbeds and was always clean and tidy. One last thing please take them up on the offer of dinner, we had it on our last night (please note this was on eid mubarak so really thankful as we know it's a special time) and was so worth it. The seabass on the set menu for 2 was divine plus the kids even had brownies for dessert! Thanks for letting us stay in your home and for the gifts when we left. If we ever return we will stay at Fox Hill.

If you are on Lankawi, then you simply MUST book this accommodation. We stayed in the tree house, but all the other bungalows also look so magical. There is a peaceful tranquillity there, far away from mass tourism. The location is also ideal for exploring the island. You can also hire a car here for little money. The food here is an absolute must: Ann cooks incredibly delicious dishes. You can also order almost every dish in a vegetarian version. The resort also offers great facilities, such as air conditioning and good WIFI in every bungalow - even in our tree house. Or the wonderful pool with great sun loungers and parasols. Our conclusion: A wonderful gem with very warm hosts.

I just returned from a short trip in Langkawi. We stayed for 3 nights at Suria, one of the 6 guest houses at Kampung Foxhills. It was a very wonderful experience staying in a traditional Malay house in a beautiful compound with fantastic mountain and paddy field views. The hosts, Ann and Ab, were just wonderful. Their home cooked food was superb. We rented a car from them for a day but the car broke down in Kuah town. They were very prompt to our rescue and gave us another car in exchange, and the rental was waived entirely. It was complimentary!

If you are looking for a more relaxed and authentic Langkawi experience this may be the place for you. The handful of chalets are sprinkled around the pretty gardens and are constructed in a traditional Malaysian style of warm coloured wood and red roofs. The one we had was delightfully pretty inside but had a/c and fans to keep you cool. Because the accommodation is at a higher altitude than at the coast we found that the temperature was in fact a little cooler and there was usually a refreshing breeze. |The pool is good size and certainly very refreshing when the sun got too hot.||The place is somewhat remote in that there are no shops or restaurants within easy walking distance but the whole Island is small and you are never far from anywhere with the help of a cheap Grab taxi. If you prefer your own wheels, the owners can sort you out with a car or moped hire. The upside is that it is quiet and peaceful if all you want is to relax in the warmth, away from the cold British weather.||But the best things about Fox Hill were our hosts Ann and Ezani who were friendly and helpful throughout. Ann is also an excellent cook and if you give her a bit of notice she will prepare delicious breakfasts and dinners at extremely good prices . And the portions are generous.||Note that we found that unlike many places our room was not serviced as a matter of routine, but if you needed anything a quick Whatsapp message and it was done.||All in all, thoroughly recommended as a great...

Very dissapointing.

The Suria house is near the entrance/parking and very exposes to the road noise and working noise (neighbours building their guest rooms). After first bad day/night we talked to the owner. Reimbursement (even partial) was out of question. As alternative he offered us the Tree House. So we paid 70 euro/night for 2 nights of noise and 3 nights in a cramped room with bathroom outside.

They accomodations are very basic, kind of worn out, with old matresses, hardly any place around to sit comfortable, dark rooms, hot even with A/C on all day, bcs they built them the cheapest way. The pool has only one place with shadow all day, of course everyone wants it. The garden barely has trees and shadows, which is so silly when you see the lush jungle behind the property.

We also havent experienced the famous hospitability. The owner just handed us the key, made twice more money renting Suria, while he didnt do any commercial gesture for having us downgraded.

Sunsets are great, so is the nature behind the property. Rented a nice scooter at the correct price - I was expecting a discount, but hey, being greedy is much better.

The wife answering me on whatsapp was way more polite and nice than the guy, but that doesnt make up for ripping us off.

Big mistake to consider this place as a highlight of our trip where to spend my birthday... We stayed in 2 other places before and we had great...

Fox Hill||We had a wonderful time at Fox Hill, initially we booked for 8 days but made the easy decision to extend by another 4. |The place is relaxing, scenic, clean, peaceful and Ann and Ezani are excellent hosts/owners.|The bungalows are all separate and private, clean, shower was good, aircon worked well, fans inside and out by the hammock were good too.|The swimming pool is a delight with comfortable sunbeds, pool towels were provided too.|Bed linen and towels changed after 3 days, one of our bulbs stopped working, it was fixed within 10 minutes of sending a message! Cold Drinking water supplied via a water cooler.|We hired a car through Ezani, worked very well and was cheaper than through airport hire companies.|We had a couple of delicious meals at Fox Hill too, we didn't have breakfast but we heard only good things about it. We aren't breakfast people.|The location on the island is great, right in the middle, you can drive anywhere in 20-25 minutes. The beaches in the North were fabulous and we preferred them as they were quieter. |Lots of Warungs and restaurants a short drive away, a couple of convenience stores too. |Ezani gave us a number for a private Mangrove tour, which worked out brilliantly, we loved it.|We enjoyed meeting Ann, Ezani, the cats and the other guests, we had a wonderful time at Fox Hill, we will definitely return here, if coming back to Langkawi. |Thanks for a...
