Kampung serenity at its best. Super clean room and smells new. Staffs are super friendly and very helpful. They even sent the location a day before your departure. Ample parking space.
They have limited their guests to 8 families in the post-Covid new normal. Hence, it is very ideal for family outing. The pool sections are great and suitable for both adult and children with the perfect depths. Attention was given to details as the showers and toilets are just nearby for convenience. Another well thought arrangement is that the pool basically located right in front of every room. Hope they will plant some trees to shade the pool, though.
The beach is just a 8-10 minutes walk away in between kampung houses if you are using the short cut instead of the kampung tarred road. However the water is milky and very salty. It is rocky too. Nice for strolling along but not swimming. Best to just swim at the pool.
The nearest grocery shop is at the T-junction between Kg Kuala Linngi and Kuala Sungai baru. The next one will be further in Kuala Sungai Baru. Better to buy them at the last town stop before you arrive. Nearest dining would be a satay joint located on the right of the main road heading to Kg Kuala Linggi. The satay is very tasty and slightly more meat than those you'll find in towns. Kampung price of RM1 and RM1.2 per stck for chicken and beef. Must try the nugget or wedges boom boom with extra cheese and mayonnaise. Only RM5 per set. Slightly more if you prefer the extra cheese.
Further down the road there is also a seafood floating restaurant with ikan bakar specialty. We didn't try it because we observed its reviews are either pricey or not as expected.
Overall, the Laman Guesthouse carefully taken care surrounding and cleanliness added with the friendly staffs really won our hearts. The pool even though not big, is surprisingly comfortable and fun to swim in. Alhamdulillah it is indeed best...
Β Β Β Read moreI was here for a family day. The guesthouse is near Fort Supai, Linggi. Itβs within walking distance, roughly about 1 km to the beach, passing by a new chalet or homestay currently under construction.
The property consists of three buildings that house the guest rooms. I stayed in a deluxe room located on the first floor of the main building, facing the swimming pool. The pool was a highlight for the children, who had a blast frolicking under the hot sun. The room was decently sized and came with basic amenities. However, the bed was on the firm side. For the price, I found it to be a bit expensive.
I appreciate the rules theyβve put in place to maintain the property in good working order and top condition. In our case, we didnβt rent the indoor hall, so we had to use the open-air hall for our activities, which was quite hot during our stay. If only we were allowed to use the indoor hall, it would have made the experience much more comfortable for us.
Anyway, we truly love the memories we made during our stay. Thank you,...
