M Glamping by the sea — Hotel in Malacca

Whilst the setup of the glamping site was beautiful but that was it for M Glamping. There are massive improvements required at the host's end. Genuine comments are:

1- Unappetising food served. Not warm when served. Extremely small portion with just one small piece of broccoli for each guest. The supposed paella tasted nothing than an experimental tomato rice that went south.

2- Unfriendly caretakers. We felt like animals kept in a cage. The gate to access to the beach was only reopened upon our request at 730am in the morning. We could only watch the beach from the locked gate before that.

3- Guests woke up earlier than the caretaker and had to wait for breakfast to be served only at 9.30am!!

4 - Too loud and long mosque prayers. This was not communicated to us at the booking time or upon check in.

5- Late check strictly at 4pm and check out strictly at 12pm. There was absolutely no negotiation on this by the host.

6 - Strict with workshop schedule and no leeway. In the end we didn't get to participate in the workshop which was part of the rental.

7- No coffee was provided in the morning. The reason assigned was that the host runs out of coffee. This is highly unacceptable as the host should have done all the needful before receiving guests.

8- No cutleries whatsoever could be found in the kitchen area. Cutleries and plates were only extended to us during meals time and was taken back after meal time. This is again highly unacceptable. With bbq pit included at the vicinity we struggled without cutleries or plates provided. That should be communicated to us if host doesn't intend to provide or can't provide the cutleries for our bbq use.

Verdict - absolutely doesn't commensurate with the sky high price charged. Will there be a second trip to M...

My recent stay at M Glamping in Melaka was nothing short of disappointing and overpriced! For the price we paid, we expected a much higher standard of service and amenities. Unfortunately, the reality fell far short.

No Hot Water in the Bath Tub: We couldn't even enjoy a warm bath after a long day.

The check in was late at 4pm and the hosts insisted even I requested to check in earlier.

Unfriendly Hosts / caretakers

The food was shockingly below standard. The "paella" was nothing more than some tomato rice with 2 prawns and 2 mussels, meant to be shared among 4 people. The roast chicken was clearly a reheated frozen meal. Breakfast was equally disappointing, consisting of Spaghetti Aglio Olio with just a few strands of hotdog bits.

Limited Kitchen Utensils: The kitchen was poorly equipped and no chopping board. No utensils provided other than meal time and no proper drinking glasses. They provided some thin layer plastic cups!

No Coffee in the Morning: Unbelievably, they ran out of coffee despite knowing they had guests coming!

The prayers in the morning were so loud and went for an hour made it impossible to sleep. and the pillows are like rocks!

Overall, this was a highly overpriced and disappointing experience. I would not recommend M Glamping to anyone looking for a quality...

We had a great experience at this place during last weekend!

Beautiful views of the sea. The tents are well-furnished with air conditioning, and the beds were quite comfortable. Fewer Mosquitoes: While not mosquito-free, there were fewer mosquitoes compared to other places. Hot shower available. Dinner and breakfast were included, and the food was pretty good. BBQ Option: We opted for a BBQ on-site. We brought our own ingredients, and they provided a 35cm*25cm griller with charcoal and Ice Cubes Utensils Provided: The site provided utensils, a small knife, a chopping board, and glasses. Clean Toilets Peaceful Communication: While the mosque prayer call is loud and starts early around 6 am, the host informed us about it beforehand and provided earplugs, which helped reduce the noise. Not fully but at least it helps.

The hosts were very accommodating and even asked us for our preferred times for the workshop, dinner, and breakfast to ensure everything was well arranged.

We have cakes and leftover BBQ ingredients that need to be keep in fridge, the host is able to keep it in fridge for us.
