Jomy Homestay @Marina Island — Hotel in Marina Island

I came here with my family for 2 nights. My mum was in wheelchairs but there was no problem to accommodate this. The check-in process was super easy with very clear instructions. The room has a sea view which was nice. There were basic necessary things provided like tv (limited channels), sofa, dining tables, shower foams, kettle, small fridge and hair dryer. Some plates, cutleries and glasses/cups were provided too. The space was nice for a family to gather and have fun together. There was no stove or microwave provided for you to cook simple meals or even reheat the food. The toilet was okay but some probably needed a fix like the door obviously needed a fix at the bottom of it (detached from its frame), the flooring at the shower area probably needed adjustment a bit because the water is not draining properly, puddle and made the bathroom watery all the time. The tap at the bathtub also probably needed a fix as it was kinda ugly to see something like clay attached to it like that. Maybe can consider adding one ceiling fan to the dining area as the air conditioner is only available at the living hall. Other facilities like swimming pool, yes it is available but not properly maintained maybe as the water was murky and the tiles were more detached than attached. Kinda dangerous though. However, you can still enjoy the paddle boat and kayak at a very reasonable price. It was an okay...

WATER DRIPPING directly over toilet so get wet doing business. Water heater barely works. Hard beds. Complicated process for security deposit (at least for me). Noisy. Restaurant was expensive for bad food! I'm sure other units must be better to get the current rating. WARNING: After leaving review, owner called and texted over and over to get me to change my review. Said I wasn't "a man" because of it. Offered to refund to get changed. Had to block him. But, those problems exist and although I don't like leaving bad reviews I think it is important to be honest. I'm SURE the other units are better, but not that one. Owner should fix obviously old issues instead of trying to "fix" my review. Sorry....

I could not believe the unit that i stayed had no ceiling fan at all. The air-cond is small and could not cool the combine big living room and dining room. It was uncomfortable during the day & night. TV was small like a computer screen. Owner gave me blue tick when i reported some issues with TV. At RM230 per nite i was expecting netflix & youtube but none. The room furniture is old and some need replacement or repair.

Decided to check out early the next morning and back to KL. It was not an enjoyable holiday for me & family.
