Overall enjoyed the whole staycation here. A very cozy and nice place for a family or large group retreat. Can fit a maximum of 23 pax but online rates may allow only a limited number of pax. The rooms and beds are well maintained and clean. There is a caretaker that comes and clean the place daily. The bathrooms are very nicely designed and clean. The kitchen is also very well equipped with lots of cutlery, cups, plates, stove, microwave oven, fridge, rice cooker, water dispenser, pots and pans. The living room and dining hall is very spacious which can fit about 15 people. There is a big karaoke room with a TV and speakers and also a snooker pool table inside. There is a balcony outside with tables and chairs to enjoy the outside breeze and to do some BBQ. Catering services are also available if required for all the meals. There is also a trampoline outside suitable for kids to have some fun! The whole compound is very spacious and great for outdoor games. In the basement, there is also a big community hall for team building activities which is separately booked. Some things to prepare for and can be improved: - prepare for the good WORKOUT! From the porch to the bungalow, there are about 3 flights of stairs and this may be tiring for the elderly (especially when unloading and loading the car). Unfortunately, it is also not handicap friendly. - prepare LOTSSSS of mosquito coil because at night, there will be alot of insects and bugs coming into the bungalow especially when the lights are on unless you're a lover of insects. - the windows and doors are not very well maintained, there are some cracks here and there which allowed insects to creep in. But with lots of mosquito coil, we managed to ward off the problem. - the porch can only fit 2 cars but there is space outside to fit another 3 cars. It was quite safe to park outside as well. All in all, we were told by some of the locals that Green Acres is the most well maintained bungalow and it is worth the stay. Just have to keep in mind some of the things above.

A privately tucked away colonial bungalow at Fraser’s Hill. Getting there is an additional 10-15min drive from the town area. The bungalow is decorated well. Equipped with hot water showers, free flow clean drinking water in the kitchen, towels, bidets and shampoo/body wash in the toilets. For muslims, you could also ask for a prayer mat. Personally was pleasantly surprised at how clean the floor was - a rare point in many home-stays. The bedding and pillows are comfortable, except some beds were quite creaky. We were greeted by Azman, one of the caretakers upon our arrival. Very friendly and easygoing guy. He took the time to explain that the heaters for the shower requires pre-heating for 5mins before usage, and briefly brought us around the place. Appreciate his hardwork & dedication. We chose to stay at Green Acres as it specifically disallows pork and non halal dining in its premises, which we really appreciate. Our stay was very comfortable and we truly enjoyed some much needed peace. Some tips for future guests: Ensure all windows and doors are closed shut before nightfall to prevent the issues with bugs. And purchase dinner when u head out for lunch as the bungalow is considered far from town. It would be very dark and unsafe to head out for dinner, so I suggest u to heat up food and eat in the bungalow. Also, wake up at 6am for a beautiful sunrise! ☺️ u won’t regret it

We booked Oak room for just one night on the way to our destination in mid February. The room is facing the main gate and stairs, so no view. The room and the shower room are quite specious. The toilet was not cleaned properly, yellow stains and cubic hair!😱😱 the shower temperature was not stable, hot and cold, hot and cold…. The bed mattress was very springy. You don’t want to share the bed with someone. The floors are tilted throughout the house. You may need to bring slippers, depending on the season you visit. For dinner, we drove to the village, which was about 15 min away. You may need to have a good driving skill if you drive the place at night as roads are very twisty, deep gutter on the side in pitch black. Interment is very poor. The connection kept being dripped off. It would be a great place for a big family or a big group to enjoy the nature and forget about outside of the world! One night was ok for me.

Stayed at Green Acres from 27th-29 December. Will summarize the pros and suggestions for improvement

Pros: Excellent location. Located at a much higher peak and away from the crowd this is the perfect place to simply get away and relax. The best views are from the balcony. Just sit outside and enjoy the forest view with mist. Simply beautiful. Excellent water pressure. You can have a good bath and enjoy the hot water. Rooms are spacious and easily can sleep 20 pax comfortably. Kitchen is good. Equipped with a fridge, water dispenser and all the cooking facilities. A temperature reader was also provided to comply with the covid SOP

Suggestions for Improvement There is a long staircase from the parking lot to come down to the house. We had 2 special needs people with us and 1 elderly person. It was extremely challenging having to carry them down and up. Hope the management will seriously consider building a ramp to cater for the needs of the elderly and special needs. House cleanliness/maintenance can be improved. You could see windows that have cobwebs. Also we found that the kitchen oven was not clean. Some areas had pail or towels placed due to water leaks. Poor lighting in the bathroom and missing light bulbs at other areas. The bathroom needs to be brighter. Some lights at the balcony were not working. Not sure if it’s faulty bulbs or the lights itself are faulty. Suggest to check all the lights in the house to ensure they are in working condition. No place to hang towels. It would be nice if the management can provide a towel rack/stand in the rooms. Pool table cue stick is worn out. Difficult to play. An electric kettle in the kitchen would be useful when we need more hot water...the water dispenser cannot cope. Window shutters at one of the downstairs rooms were not working. Suggest to have insect netting so windows can be left open for the breeze as there is no fan nor a/c.

This place has so much potential. Overall, it’s a very nice bungalow to stay in. We look forward to coming back and hope the management will look into the areas of...
