Long review but worth to read. When we first arrived, the staffs are very busy on the phone and other stuffs. Service very slow. Our room price is 100+ but the guy ask us to pay 200+. We did not question cause we just assume the 100 is for deposit. As it works in that way at most of places. Plus, no receipt given. Just a room key and also breakfast coupon. When we checkout, thereโ€™s no extra money given back. Itโ€™s wierd, so we ask bout our it. The staffs on duty is the same as when weโ€™re come for checkin. And they keep on denying saying theyโ€™re not taking any deposit. And thereโ€™s no extra money in their shift. So? How? What am i supposed to do? Just let it be and it might happend to others next time? They call their manager and the manager also said that theyโ€™re not taking any deposit, and no extra money there, also โ€œmy staff said that heโ€™s took the 100+ not 200+โ€. Wow, so sure? Am i the only one who u attend for checkin until youโ€™re so sure about what u said to me previously? But the thing is, the guy made us pay 200+. So i asked, how about the extra money i paid.? She answer โ€œiโ€™m not taking the money, so it is between you and himโ€. So, just guess the ending. Handling with money is no joke. Do your work well. Next time, please provide receipt also during checkin to avoid this from happend again. Or else, put cctv. Staff instruction for the direction is not clear and signage to chalet not in suitable position to be seen. Air cond and water heater not well maintain in the chalet. First time enter, it looks like the chalet is not used for months. Breakfast, does not has many choices and not...

TLDR: I can see the good ideas they had while developing RBR. However, I think the place needs a face-lift and upgrading as most amenities and features have deteriorated, especially since covid.

The resort is strategically attached to the Rompin beachside. However, due to the monsoon season, the waters were murky and the waves were unsafe to approach.

There are obstacles courses set up for team building purposes. However, they seem to have not been used for some time. There is ample space for dining and the free breakfast is provided on a voucher-basis. There is a pool table at the resort and paid karaoke sessions. There is a swimming pool right outside our room which proved to be a hit amongst the kids and families present at the resort.

The room we had, according to the receptionist, was out of service and recently undergone servicing/maintenance and the housekeeper forgot to put the hairdryer back in place. However, they did hand us the hairdryer at their earliest convenience. However, one thing I was quite displeased about was the door locks. The latch was missing, which made us feel a little unsafe. The door also needed to be locked from the inside (unable to lock using the key) which was still fine. The toilet and beds have some stains but were comfortable and functional overall. The TV, mini fridge, cabinets...

Stopped over at Rompin Beach Resort on the way to Taman Negara. In short, go there with a low expectation, then the stay wonโ€™t be that bad. Their customer service was good.

We initially took Chalet by the beach (which we donโ€™t recommend). It was old and the hotel clearly has given up doing upgrading maintenance. Things worked (pros) at Chalet: Hot shower and Room lock

Things did not work (cons) at Chalet: Toilet (flushing system was broken), Fridge and Hotel landline telephone (we instead needed to use our mobile phone)

They were collecting the leaves outside and burning them right in front of our chalet which generated the smoke and we could even smell it inside the chalet, let alone to open the window. So on the second day we requested to move into the room which was far from the beach. The lady at the reception was very helpful and move us to the connecting rooms on the ground floor by the swimming pool.

This rooms were better. Very clean and all the facilities worked except a lock for the glass door accessing directly to the swimming pool.

Food from the Ala cart menu was good. Breakfast was limited.

What made us feel fine with this hotel was the service from the staff. All of them were very friendly, polite and willing to help. So we thank...

Place looks aged yet pool still in good condition. Room given has some electrical issues, so enter other room which has strong 'wooden' smell that made us uncomfortable. Facilities good for family vacation, beachside is great but not too keen to swim. Inside chalet is spacious but toilet maybe a bit sempit for big sizes. Lobby is great for large event. Sauna was closed. Some outdoor activities to do but a bit pricey. Overall good services, good swimming pool & great experience been there ๐Ÿ˜Š

Don't expect the place to be exclusive & luxurious or modern. Can it just moderately satisfied your need & sleep. But, kids will be very happy at this place. For that reason only, overall I happy with the stay. Breakfast just ok, having nasi lemak, fried noodle, cereal, toast, jemput-jemput, etc.. Can say it it is good. Nasi lemak sambal macam tak cukup tumis. But for the price rm 14 for adult, rm 10 for kids, I'll say it is ok.
