Samsuria Beach Apartment Resort — Hotel in Pahang

I was here recently for a company trip with Kembara Kitchen. This was my first time in the area. From the get-go, the journey into the area was a bit scary. Why? It was because visitors to the place would be greeted by two abandoned places, what looked like possible apartment blocks and / or hotel blocks. The lane into the area only allowed one-way traffic. There were residences at the left and right sides of the lane. Since it was the beginning of the monsoon season, some areas were flooded already. So, the going into the area wasn't a pleasant experience. The apartment resort is situated quite deep inside the kampung. Anyway, upon reaching the resort, we were given our keys immediately, so checking in was a breeze. We were given three apartments on the first floor. The apartment was huge. It could easily fit in 6 to 8 people comfortably (2 to a room*2 + mattresses at the living room area + 2 on the sofa). There was a mini kitchenette where one could cook on the induction stove or reheat food in the microwave, boil water in the electric kettle, store food in the fridge, etc. Basic utensils were provided, too. The air-conditioning units were good. They kept the room areas cold. Towels were provided, but you may want to bring your own personal wash kits as there were no liquid soap and/or personal kits like toothbrush and toothpaste, cotton buds, etc. They did, however, give a big bottle of shampoo. One may also want to use their compass to find the qiblat before praying. Overall, the apartment was good. As for services, I couldn't write much as I didn't deal with the management myself, but I guess their services were satisfactory. We also had a BBQ dinner on our last night there. We had a private area to ourselves, so that was very welcoming. Facing the open seas with light breeze throughout the night, the BBQ dinner was wonderful. The food (fried noodles, fried meehoon, fried rice, salads, fries, nuggets, and fried chicken + iced tea) was scrumptious + our very own barbequed meats like lamb, beef steak, chicken and sausages. My boss engaged a busker (boey band) to entertain us that night. A very good singer. We enjoyed ourselves to the max. Overall, it was a memorable stay at the apartment resort....

The road leading to it initially was confusing as it passed through a housing area. But as you drive and as you start seeing the beach and the ocean on the right, the place is just a couple of hundreds metres from the housing area. Once entered, the security will ask and checked if you have reservations, an indication of ample and good security procedure. Other than checking in at the reception, you will need to register with the security. The units are mainly divided between either its own by the operator/hotel itself or privately owned. We took one of each and it seems the one that is privately own seems better equipped. Nevertheless those operator is also not bad. Both units were 2 rooms apartment. Master bedroom, with attached toilet and having a queen bed. The second room is also with attached bathroom although there's 2 single bed therein. There is a sofa bed on the living room. A 4 seats with a dining table and a TV with another 4 sofas seats. There is also a simple dining area, a microwave oven and a refrigerator.

The surrounding is quiet and serene. To a certain it is a private facility. Only hotel guests are in the vicinity. No public is seen...

Why 5stars for the location cause if u need peaceful and clean beach with very less crowd, come to this place. A good place to unwind your mind after long day. Beach is not like the beach in PD or langkawi. Clean sandy beach and good for grounding therapy... For room it depends on your luck. They are apartment hotel but they provide the minimum at least such as liquid soap, mineral water bottles and enough towels. In terms of cleanliness, not properly maintained. But bedsheet looks clean and no bugs issues. My first day staying here everything looks good but second day, something went wrong with kitchen sink. Got clogged and water came out from small holes down at the floor. The only downside identified in my room. Aircond functioning well, so does water heater. I must praise they had the best water pressure in shower. My room and the balcony had view of facing the sea. It is at the corner of the block so you had very nice view seeing the sea enjoy the breeze while having coffee at balcony. Even from my room and the bathroom, i can have the seaview!
