Great place for mild hiking activities, simple and basic living. It gets quite chilly (more or less 16 degrees Celsius) I could almost relate to a tiny taste of monk living. Very good and hot healthy (non meat) meals and some hot drinks with Marie biscuits on the sides. We brought our own snack anyway. Must leave no rubbish behind such beautiful and clean place. Looks like they are expanding another common area or room in 1 min distance away.||||There were mishandling with the rooms arrangement for our trip (8 pax - 2 houses). Our group were told to have side by side but instead one end and another end. It was quite disappointing as we had to carry our bags up and down the hill on a rainy day. ||||FYI: The meals are served 3 times daily, hot and delicious, no meat but there are eggs/garlic. There are no fridge, no freezer, no hair dryer and no bath towels. There is hot water available for shower. Common area (dining area) spacious and mostly all gathered around floor seated type of tables. Seat cushion provided but no armchairs or loungers or hammocks available. Do take note of long hours seated on the floor cushion without backrest, it has taken a toll on our bodies and we are far from being fit or basic living like a monk. The beds weren't looking the cleanest and it's open to nature, do expect some crawlies around. I brought my sleeping bag anyway. Limited electricity and it's a bonus if you could bring a thermos to refill hot/warm water to drink in the tree house since it's such...

Read moreA very rustic and earthy experience. Terra Tree House was built by the owners of Terra Farm, an organic farm using bio dynamics method. The ride to the tree house is around 30 mins through very rough roads and terrains. Once we arrive, we had to walk around 20min to the tree house. We are surrounded by trees and totally immersed in Mother Nature. It takes a long wait list to make a booking as it’s sold out for months. There are a few options of accommodations. The newly built ones have modern bathrooms which I felt was too modern for a natural space. There is totally no internet connection as we are pretty deep into the forest mountains. There’s daily hike activities where you have to go barefoot. The hike to the water source is not easy and not recommended for young toddlers. Food is included and it’s all vegetarian and organic produce from their farm. Many love their food and I especially love the fried banana which is fried using palm oil and said to be not heaty. It’s recommended to stay 2 nights here. The journey up to Cameron Highlands is not easy as the winding roads can easily make one car sick. Electricity is up till 10.30pm only and you should bring a torchlight. The room has only bare necessities. You have to bring your own towels and toiletries. Overall a good...
