Fantastic staycation at Glass Villa First Floor at the Waterway villa resort for one night. Overlooked the durian trees with fresh air.
Room: Spacious. Sparkling clean. Heater and strong aircon with all necessities toiletries available included the hair dryer. However, no indoor wifi and tv. Only public wifi at the restaurant or main reception. Glass villa is situated far and up on hill. The air is fresher and quiet. Outside the glass villa, there is a nice lake. Contact number was given for customer to contact reception to arrange for buggy service to go down to reception.
Meal: Breakfast buffet, tea break (with noodle, nuggets etc) and dinner buffet available. Lots of drinks such as all sorts of coffees, kedondong juice, honey green tea, Milo available.
Other activities: all jungle trekking and river tubing that supposed to be included in the package were canceled perhaps due to COVID-19? However, customers are still allowed to self explored the river and a simple jungle trekking within 15mins away from the resort. Pretty safe and walkable.
SOP: Each customer is supposed to scan mysejahtera and check their temperature before entering the premise. Recommended to station one staff to check and confirm each customer comply to the SOP as I noticed some of the customers did not wear mask when collecting their buffet meals from the common station. Some of the customers even coughing and NOT wearing mask!!
CONS: I noticed some adult customers self bring wine and beers and placed it next to the common swimming pool. As far as I noticed, there is a sign or pool regulation particularly mentions NO glass/ wine should be allowed at the pool. Some customers did not even wear a proper swimsuit but just T-shirt and short pant (not the swimming pant). No staff is stationed to make sure this swimming pool regulation or ethics is followed and complied by the customers. I left the pool as I didn't feel pleasant with people constantly drinking/ talking (especially during this COVID-19) and placing the fragile wine/beer glasses next to the pool walkway (next to the pool stairs).
Nevertheless, it is a good place to enjoy the nature and spend valuable time with family. Recommended to stay at The...
Read more02/06/25 - 04/06/25. My third time there. So worth the 7hrs drive from sg there. Just when I thought my first 2 times there is good, they improve it even further.
Added services to send u to anywhere in the resort using their truck
Added 2 fans inside the resort
Improved the food
For the price, inclusive of 3 meals and free tours, 5 stars view. a roaring river that you can soak in, can't beat the price
2023 Update: I just went back again on the 2nd of June 2023 long weekend. Totally worth the nearly 7 hours journey inclusive of the crazy jam from Singapore. The lady who work at the reception was a bundle of joy. Finally one staff who can converse in English as my melayu is not that great. But to be fair to the rest, even though they can't really understand english, but their service is 5 stars as well. Only regret is that I didn't find their river earlier. I can go back just to dip in the river. Currents so strong that is better than any massage..
Checked out today. I was not placing too high a hope after reading the reviews online. But when I stayed there for 3 nights, I realized my fears was unfounded. Celcom reception was good even in the room. I can even have my zoom meeting and remote access my office comp with almost no lag. Wifi at the lobby is good as well for meeting.
All the staff are friendly and accommodative. Even the enquiry staff replies email fast after my barrage of questions as it is my first time to Malaysia after the pandemic.
The rooms are very clean. Never stepped on a cleaner floor before even in 5 star hotel.
The resort gives a very nature vibe good for a break from modern life. A lot of natural elements.
The pool is great to spend the day.
Food nothing to scream about given it is a 3 star hotel. But is good for a decent meal.
Overall is a place I can go back and spend some time unwinding and bond...
Read moreWent to this place last weekend. Me and my family enjoyed our time out here. Anyway, I have both positive & negative things to say about this place.
Positive - Clean resort, really calm, peaceful and quiet place. Worth the money. Breakfast, tea time & dinner were included in the package and that is a plus point as it’s quite far from town. Food were decent, served buffet style. Taste is ok decent enough to fill our belly. Nice pool and slide. Will definitely return. You can but Musang King at the resort itself for RM30 a Kg which is fair.
Negative - The toilet was leaking in our room(room 702). Water will spill out from underneath when flushing. Thank god its clean water. Shower water pressure too strong and can’t be controlled. Also there’s a couple of friendly dogs that gets too close for comfort. Not sure if stray or owner’s dogs but for a Muslim family, we were a little uncomfortable. No offense meant, just highlighting.
MAJOR NEGATIVE - we went for a drive up the hill in the resort as we were thinking of checking out the other villas. Met a dead end with muddy roads(very muddy and looks like your tyre will get stuck in the mud). There was no warning sign whatsoever. Had to reverse down the hill and corner road all the way down to a bigger space. It was very frightening and dangerous as the other side has no fence and we could have easily steer of the cliff to our …….. Thank God I had the sense not to go further up to the muddy road as there is a high possibility of falling down the cliff due to overstepping on the acceleration pedal. The management could have taken some precaution of putting barriers to that path leading up.
Would have given 5 stars if not...
