Stayed here for one night for family vacation. First of all, this hotel is located at Teluk Dalam, considered as the farthest from shop and eatery. Without transportation, there is nothing much you can do here.
During the day, it is quite easy to get a taxi or pink van but quite costly because of the distance. No shop is around, only one eatery is open during the day and one at night with a so-so taste.
The hotel view from outside is quite nice, facing the beach. The road is not busy so crossing with kids will not be an issue. However we are not sure if the beach is safe for kids, it seems quite deep. This hotel concept is using an old bus and converts it to a room. Around 15 rooms are available and ours was with 4 beds. It is not common to have this kind of room so it is quite exciting.
The room comes with a TV, air conditioned, fridge and slow wifi. The toilet is so spacious with a bath tub, ventilation fan and water heater. Water pressure is good. However there is like an insufficient electrical load issue when using heater because the toilet light start to blink and turn off once we use it. We did not use the water heater during our stay. We notified the staff but no action and nothing much they can do.
The most major problem staying here is that there are water leaks during rain. More than 5 points of water leaks and 2 of the beds were soaked. Luckily none of our belongings and clothes were affected.
This hotel also has a pool but the water seems cloudy. Breakfast is provided at a cheap price and itemized, it is not a buffet type breakfast. We were told we can book by whatsapp before 11 pm so we booked a few foods but when we got there in the morning it was already gone. I am not sure if the staff did book for us or not since we received no reply, or we came too late or some other room took ours. However the idea of booking is not really useful, better told us during check in that food is limited, first come first buy.
Overall, far from tourist attractions, shops and eateries, preferable rental vehicles for staying, so-so room, leaks during rain, nice landscape set up, unhelpful staff, need improvement on electrical usage load, and need to reconsider option for breakfast since there is no shop around to buy breakfast. This hotel really needs a lot of improvement.
Once is enough and will never come back...
Read moreA delightful 2-night, 3-day stay at the Pangkor Bus Resort offered an affordable experience. The resort bus a unique aesthetic, blending vintage charm with modern comfort, and the stunning views truly astonished us. The collection of vintage buses, adorned with Pangkor-inspired graffiti, added a special touch. Throughout our stay, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, from our initial booking to our departure. Their excellent service truly enhanced our holiday. We stayed in one of the converted buses, which was surprisingly spacious (4pax for comfort) and impeccably clean. While shampoo was provided, we appreciated having brought our own toiletries. The large private tub was a definite highlight. Breakfast was a simple, self-service affair. For those with larger appetites, additional breakfast options are available nearby (Teluk Nipah) , and the staff can also arrange meals. In the evenings, the resort offers convenient burger sales, but we also enjoyed exploring the local culinary scene in Teluk Nipah and Pekan for more authentic dishes. The Pangkor Bus Resort is a short drive from the jetty. Renting a car or motorbike is highly recommended for easy exploration of the island. Overall, our stay at the Pangkor Bus Resort was a memorable and...

Overall, a pretty pleasant two nights stay. I like the concept of a bus, which is exciting compared to a normal hotel. We booked the bus for 6 adults and it’s still quite spacious to walk around inside. Only thing is no table and chairs in the bus. Also, the water heater is not hot enough. The whole bus and place is actually a little run down, need more maintenance and deep cleaning. I saw another review stating that there’s lizard poop. But we clarified before hand that we absolutely hate it and hope can clean it before we check in. Fortunately during that two days, there’s no poop.
The location is at the other side of pangkor island, and further away from the town area. You’ll need to rent a car/ motor to reach the resort.
Speaking of view, it’s actually stunning and peaceful, away from the crowds. You can also go fishing there. Best thing is we even saw hornbills!!! Like 5 of them!!! Literally close up!! That’s the best part of the trip fr. Kids would love it. I strongly recommend...
