I stayed there for a night earlier this week. It's a good choice for a business traveler. Please don't be confused by the address. Penang Island (Pulau Pinang) is just the name of the state. The hotel is not actually on the island. It's located on the mainland in close proximity to a few small towns there (Bukit Mertajam, Jawi, etc). So if you need to go some place in Penang mainland, it's a good option. ||||Good points: ||||The place is new and everything is very clean and in good condition. ||The rooms are quite. So the walls must be thick or something. It was a bit noisy in the hall but once you are in the room and the door is closed it's quiet and you can get a good sleep. ||Breakfast is nice. Just a few choices, all local, but everything is fresh and delicious. Plus some good coffee and breads. ||Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. ||The hotel is located near to a few cafes, a 7-Eleven, a gas station and an ATM. It's also not too far off from the highway and easy to find. ||The price is very reasonable: rm107 with breakfast and wifi. ||||Not so good: ||Wifi in the room is rather slow. ||There are no water bottles in the rooms, but a dispenser in the hall. ||If you are there for a holiday then you are probably in the wrong...
Read moreLocated a kilometre away from Bukit Minyak industrial zone and 10 minutes drive to north-south highway were the main attractions for choosing this hotel. I've stayed for 2 days with the first night at deluxe room while the second night at double bed room. The interior was modern-minimalist and artfully decorated with nice photos on the feature walls. Check-in was smooth but lack of hospitality. Room was neat and clean. In room amenities include comfy bed, flat screen TV and over-head shower. Ironing kit is available upon request. No electric kettle is provided but the hot and cold water dispenser is available just outside the room. In-room WiFi was good enough for email and internet surfing but connectivity was a bit unstable. Breakfast was simple yet tasty with 4 to 5 dishes, toast and a few choices of hot and cold beverages. For lunch and dinner outside the hotel, there was "mamak-style" restaurant just across the road. Overall, it was business traveller friendly hotel with all the good things for me...
Read moreI stayed for 3 nights during the holidays in june. Overall the hotel is fairly new, ||Rooms:|Rooms is abit small but still okay for two adults. Room quality is also acceptable but need you watch for ants, i found one or two on the bed. If you bring any sweets to the room they will come in groups.||Facilities|Breakfast served from 7:30 to 9:30 in ground floor. They have toast, butter and jam as well as local food. Tea, coffee and juice is served. Not sure if they have in-room services so lunch and dinner is on your own outside. No other facilities.||There are no public transportation. But can still order Uber or Grab. Staff can assist.||Negative point|Ventilation in the toilet is only small window at the top. I Recommend for the hotel to install small ventilation fan on this window and to make it turn on with toilet's light||For 100rm/ night with breakfast for two and private toilet, i think this hotel is a very...
